Come and relax at our charming renovated 1940's cottage on Little Ore Lake, Nicknamed "The Aquarium" for its fantastic fishing. Kayak or paddle board (provided by owner) on all sports Ore Lake or down the Huron River to the "Chain of Lakes". Ice fish or skate in the winter months, kayak down the river for a fall color tour. Our place has all the creature comforts with the charm of a vintage cottage. Just minutes from Downtown Brighton where you will find wonderful dining, shopping and festivals. We are also just moments from Legacy Center, Huron Meadows Metro Park and Brighton Recreation area. A short drive to Ann Arbor/University of Michigan.

The cottage is approximately 800 sq. ft. with about 35' of lakefront. Parking is limited to 3 vehicles as the lot is small. All sports Ore Lake is approximately 220 acres with a max depth of 80'. Little Ore Lake is a great destination for fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock. 6 Kayaks are provided at no additional cost. The vacant lot next door (other side of posts/chains) is NOT for guest use. This is owned by the neighbor across the street.

House Rules

- CHECK-IN: Check in time is 4:00 p.m. on your day of arrival. Earlier/ Late arrivals may be accommodated please coordinate arrival time directly with the owner.

- CHECK-OUT: Check out time is 10:00 a.m. on your day of departure. We will be often having guests leaving and arriving the same day this allows for only a small window of opportunity for cleaning and maintenance.

- CLEANING: Help keep our cleaning fees LOW-Leave the cottage as you found it; in broom clean condition, dishes washed put away, used towels/linens put in the shower area.

- WHAT WE SUPPLY: The Lakehouse is set up as a fully furnished property that will include bedspreads, linens, blankets, pillows, bath towels, beach towels, fully equipped kitchen. Paper products are supplied but will not be replaced if consumed. Propane gas barbecue grill. Coolers and board games are provided.

- SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in the Lakehouse. If the smell of smoke is detected indoors after your visit a $200 cleaning fee will be assessed.

- FIRES: Natural gas fireplace inside. Please keep outside fires inside of the fire ring, never leave a fire unattended and use the hose to completely extinguish any fires after use. Please turn the propane gas off on the barbecue grill after use.

- NO: Fireworks, tents, recreational vehicles or boats are permitted.

-QUIET HOURS: 10:00 p.m. to 7: a.m.

Weekend getaway

Great little place on the Lake perfect for a weekend getaway. The kayaks, fire pit, games and all the other amenities were so nice.

Great stay!

The cottage was the perfect location for us to stay for a few days while visiting family over Thanksgiving—a calm/serene getaway but still a quick drive to Ann Arbor. We hope to visit again in the future!

Adorable, comfy house on the water

Thank you Lisa. We had a lovely stay. It was so nice to find the amenities: coffee, fresh eggs 😊, snacks, drinks. And I really appreciated the ease of communicating with you and being able to extend our stay a night. We had an intense weekend of memorial service. It was great to have a peaceful retreat.

We have owned the property for about 10 years - we have used it as our getaway and also a space for friends and family to stay when they come in town. We love the private lake and easy access to the Huron River. Brighton is a friendly community with easy access from US23.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We love relaxing on the waterfront patio or on the enclosed porch during a rain shower. The space is small and cozy with all the creature comforts you need for a relaxing stay. Kayaking or paddle boarding is one of our favorite ways to spend time on the water.
