University Heights is located between Hillcrest and North Park. It has its own personality with a mix of Craftsman bungalows and apartments and laid-back eateries and hip bars for food. Its stylish retail and business district is at the intersection of Park Boulevard and Adams Avenue and has the best in town -- coffee houses, restaurants, bars and convenience stores. There's also nearby Trolley Park, which serves as the neighborhood hangout for laying in the sun, concerts and movies in the park and playground for families. The Diversionary Theatre puts on local productions at its location on Park Boulevard.

We perform monthly hospitality cleanings for our guests' convenience and safety and to ensure our guests have everything needed for a great stay!

Additionally, the community common areas have 24/7 surveillance.

As a reminder, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property, in your apartment, or on the balcony. Smoking will result in a $250 additional cleaning charge and possible eviction. Please review our house rules, any violation of house rules including Noise Violations will be fined $250 or lead to forfeiture of security deposit.

get ready to pay outstanding fees, and get hassled by the owner via private text and email
Hundreds of dollars in hidden administrative fees. There was no explanation or breakdown of these fees. Property Sits over a bar, blasting music late into the night. I did not get a single night of good night of sleep- I see that the property description now accurately describes its location. Previously it read "centrally located potential for noise." I emailed the property owners about the noise the next day & requested to move to another property (they manage multiple locations). The response was "maybe" I sat on the floor to play with my pet, after getting up I noticed that I was completely covered in white dog or cat hair. It belonged to another pet (not mine). I have a hypoallergenic Yorkshire terrier that does not shed. I took a video of this and sent it to the owners. The fine print says that I would be charged for pet messes, and I wanted to endure that I wasn't charged for the mess of another pet owner. By the hundreds of dollars in additional fees, I was definitely charged for this nonsense!! The owners kept messaging me via text & email (not Vrbo) secured messaging. I added funds to the laundry app. The app could not locate the laundry machines. I have images to prove this. I waited on the property for several hours for the team to arrive to handle a security issue. I went downstairs so that my pet could relieve itself. The team entered the property while I was away. I felt violated. I had requested to be present as my valuables were at the property. That was the final straw for me. I packed up my stuff and left!!! After so many nights of no sleep, the nuisance of having to haul my laundry off-site, no parking & finally, the violation of privacy. I left the property on Aug 7 (4 days early). I requested a refund for the last night or at least the pet fee and an explanation of the outstanding fees. Still awaiting a response.

home away from home
There is a great vibe about this location. For your trip you can pretend you (still) live in San Diego, only this time in a much cooler area! The security settings made our stay feel very safe and comfortable. Lots of great food in the area, and it was super easy to contact management when needed. This place has everything. I’ll definitely look into staying at this location again. Only downside - San Diego parking sucks ha.

Awesome spot
We stayed here for a week and loved it. The apartment was spotless and totally new and updated. The location was great, walking distance to lots of good restaurants and a park right across the street for our son. We also loved having two balconies and spent a lot of our time sitting outside. The only downside was that a few times parking was pretty hard to find and we had to park pretty far away but that’s just part of being downtown in a city.
