The Mooring is located on it's own peninsula surrounded by water in a unique section of Gloucester called Rocky Neck. Rocky Neck is known to be one of the Nations oldest Art colonies as well as working harbors! The home itself has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and sleeps 10 comfortably (4 twins, 2 queens, plus the couch folds down to become a full size bed for 2 more)! One of the bedrooms is in the attached cottage (queen), with a small deck and full bathroom (shower). Sweeping harbor views from every window. You feel like you are on a captains ship! Enjoy the boats passing by as you sit on the sunporch inside with picture windows or head out to the covered porch and wave to the working ships, coastguard, sailboats and recreation boats passing by all day! Jump into your kayak or paddle board and row around the inner harbor and see the oldest working marine Gloucester Marine Railways or go the other way to the point and see the Ocean Alliance located in the old paint warehouse where they work to save Marine Life. End your day grilling your freshly caught stripper off the property and watch the amazing sunsets from the porch overlooking the harbor. The kitchen is equipped with a 4 gas burner oven, dishwasher, microwave, and garbage disposal. For grillers there is a Weber gas grille out back. Full dinning room, living room with large flat screen TV with WiFi, sunporch, & laundry room. Upstairs has a master suite (with shower) and balcony. The 3 other bedrooms share a bathroom with a soaking tub. On the third floor there is a kids playroom with bean bags and flat screen tv. Walk around “The Neck” and tour the many art studios and local artists that sell their paintings, jewelry, pottery, photography and textiles. Enjoy lunch or dinner at some of the local restaurants just steps from your door, then enjoy an ice cream cone for dessert! Walk or bike to the end of Rocky Neck and you will find Niles Beach where you can relax in the sun and see the Boston skyline in the distance! Drive a short distance to both Gloucester and Rockport centers for more shops and places to eat, or sign up to go on a whale watch! One day take the nearby train into Boston! Whatever you decide to do, we hope you will enjoy experiencing this unique property!
