This was our first time at this rental and it could not have gone better. The house easily accommodates 11 people with plenty of indoor recreational space for inclement weather. The outside speaks for itself. 5 steps down to a private beach and all the beach toys one could want. The Magnolia pier was a magnet for the kids and the convenience store around the corner got lots of use. The view out to the Atlantic Ocean is spectacular.

Memorial Day Visit

The pictures do not do it justice. The place is large and has everything one needs for a pleasant stay. The owner was local, easy to reach and delivered extra firewood for our stay.

Perfect spot for a stay at the beach

We had a good weekend staying at Bob Anna's Lisa place. The location is perfect.! The kitchen is fully equipped with every pot, pan, utensil, and serving dish you can imagine. There is even an abundance of towels! The beds are comfortable, and there is way more space than we anticipated from the website description. We only wish we could have been there in the summer and enjoyed all the beach toys and activities. We cannot recommend this house more highly!We highly recommend Bob and Lisa's house.

Beautiful place and helpful host

Our stay was perfect - the house is nice and location is beautiful. And Bob, the host, was very helpful and responsive whenever we had any questions during the booking process and during our stay.

Wonderful family reunion

This was a wonderful place to stay for a family reunion. There was plenty of room, the location was spectacular, the house well equipped, especially the “beach toy” garage. The hosts were attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this awesome rental.

Fall getaway

Walking into the house upon our arrival was absolutely breathtaking. We walked onto the porch to a perfect sea view and the wind blowing through the opened windows, it was picturesque. Bob, the owner, was great with communicating with us during our trip for any needs that arised. The house was fully stocked with linens, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, and all of the other necessities needed for a long weekend fall getaway to the beach. We are already planning our return trip!

Heaven on the Bay

We had booked daily activities on our Sisters Trip, but ended up hardly leaving our beautiful beach house. Instead we walked the beach and soaked in the relaxing time of just hanging out together.

Amazing Host

I cannot say enough good things about our host. He was amazing He decorated for Christmas, put up a tree, came over to show us around, the location is gorgeous. Right on the water and a fantastic view. The sunporch was beautiful and we had a great time

Amazing

Property is gorgeous. House is spacious and welcoming. Beach is beautiful and quiet. We were able to have a beautiful get together with friends, and the host was so nice, helpful, and prompt with any questions we had. Nothing but good things to stay, will be coming again!

Great Place

Had a fantastic time, great place beautiful views right on the water your own private beach but lots of locals walking themselves and pets great to chat with lots of local info to be gotten from them. Besides clothes and food every thing you need is there. So bring the whole family lots of room, We will certainly be back ! Thanks again Bob

Great location right on the beach

Location, location, location. Right on the beach in beautiful Magnolia. Family loved being able to wake up to the awesome view and coffee and breakfast in the enclosed porch overlooking the water. It was easy for young children to play in the gorgeous grassy yard and on the sand. We all loved going for long beach walks and fishing off the new pier. Great restaurants nearby and easy to get to a grocery store and Gloucester center. The house is a basic beach house and the bathrooms are dated and could use some comfortable renovations. We enjoyed our week together at this house and Bob, the owner, is very accommodating, helpful and friendly. A good place to be on the beach.

Wonderful place, great location

I rented this property for a 10 day stay around the holidays since my home is currently being renovated and I needed more room with my my adult and college age kids coming home. There was enough space for all of us and the house had everything we needed. I currently live in the same town so I knew what a great location it was right on the beach. The owner allowed my two dogs to stay and they enjoyed the beach a few times a day. It's a short walk up the street to Dunkin or 525 restaurant as well and the convenience store a block up. We had one small issue that the owner came quickly to fix (the owners live less than 2 miles away). The owner was very responsive to any questions. I would definitely rent again if we had the need!

Perfect Thanksgiving getaway

This property was a perfect fit for our extended family (and our dogs) to enjoy Thanksgiving weekend. The furnishings are charming and comfortable and the glassed-in/screened porch is ideal for enjoying the beach views. The modern kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking. Whereas most rentals supply only "starters", this host supplied more paper goods, dish soap, etc then we could possibly use. While the bathrooms could use updating to the same level as the rest of the house, they were perfectly clean and met our needs (great water pressure too!). Beds were very comfortable and the whole house was spotless. Even though it was Thanksgiving, the beach had nearly constant activity with lots of people walking their dogs. The owner, Bob, was very communicative and helpful. We highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again!

Quintessential New England Beach Cottage

I almost hate to write this review, because I would love to keep this beach house my little secret. A beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers welcomed our arrival to this well maintained gem. And then you are drawn to the amazing sun porch that overlooks the patio and beach. I have to be honest, I did spend a lot of time curled up under a throw blanket on the porch. And there are plenty of throw blankets! Which I have found to be very rare in a vacation rental. The decor is pretty and really relates to the area which is a nice touch. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plenty of plates and glassware. A quick drive into Gloucester to the grocery store for food, marshmallows and firewood. And a 2 minute walk to the corner store for anything we might have forgotten. We spent our days walking the beach searching for sea glass and shells. Plenty of corn hole tournaments were had on the seaside lawn. Evenings were spent around the fire chatting about who was going to be brave enough to jump off the pier into the frigid ocean. Sure enough on Saturday, as the “rock” finally became submerged 3 of our bravest made the leap! We celebrated their courage that night by walking to the local pub and singing karaoke into the wee hours. We had such an amazing time here at the Magnolia Beach House. We can't wait to get back and try out the kayaks and swim during a warmer time. Bob, our host was perfect! Checking in occasionally to make sure things were going well. He did have to stop by on our last day to “batten down the hatches” because a storm was rolling in. But he contacted us beforehand to check and make sure that it was all right to come by. It was great to meet him and get a chance to chat.

This warm and inviting home is situated right on the ocean and it is a pleasure to fall asleep and then wake up to the sound of crashing waves.The host is extremely accommodating and easy to work with and accepted our whole family. Close to Boston, Gloucester and Rockport. We will certainly return.

Friends reunion

The house and location were absolutely perfect. When it rained we could relax and enjoy the view from the enclosed porch. We had a wonderful stay with the nicest owners any of us have ever come across.

Thanksgiving Stay

Overall we had a great stay for Thanksgiving week. We were a group from 5 years old to 80 years old and everyone had a great time. Bob is a great host and very accommodating. It was amazing to walk out of the house right onto the beach. We had a brief power outage (only 1 hour), but Bob responded immediately with candles and flashlights. The bathrooms were dated, but worked well.
