Golden Cottage by the Sea, est un véritable cottage de la Nouvelle-Angleterre qui a été restauré et mis à jour avec amour. Cette maison pittoresque de 1830 a été entiÚrement rénovée en 2015. Les vues panoramiques, le sentier du littoral atlantique et l'air frais de l'océan permettent un véritable lieu de paix et de renouveau. Situé dans une belle région appelée Avenues, il se situe entre l'Emerson Inn et Halibut Point. Ceci est la maison de vacances idéale. Si vous choisissez de parcourir le sentier cÎtier, visitez le village historique de Rockport ou visitez les plages de Rockport et de Gloucester, vous aurez beaucoup à faire.

Il y a une excellente pĂȘche au large des rochers. Une petite plage privĂ©e et rocheuse Ă  quelques pas de votre porte arriĂšre. Une cour privĂ©e pour jouer. A 5 minutes en voiture et des boutiques Rockport, galeries d'art et plages.

This house is in a beautiful neighborhood that is quiet and has beautiful views. It’s so comfortable and clean and the beds were amazing too!

We have rented many beach properties over the years and this home is one of if not the nicest of all. A spectacular view of the ocean from the brand new deck, the dining area & kitchen. On the second floor the two primary bedrooms feature balconies with equally breathtaking views of the ocean. The entire home was meticulously maintained and clean throughout. Very well equipped kitchen. The owner thought of absolutely everything. The owner was quick to respond to any question. A truly wonderful property!

Beautiful location. Ample bedrooms and relaxation space for our group. Easy to get to local points of interest and even walked to a great dinner at the Emerson Inn. Great communication with host and definitely met our expectations. Would love to return

Lovely and cozy home, great location, peaceful!

Very good quality home that has some very nice luxury features. We visited this place in November on a cold weekend but we were nice and toasty. Easily accommodated our party of 4 couples. Loved the nice walks and the wild life we could see while we sipped our coffee! This could easily be a nice place for families! We had a small glitch when we first arrived and the owner jumped all over it. Very happy we found this place!

Comfortable and spacious with ocean view

Our group ranging in age from 83 to 12 really enjoyed our stay in the Golden cottage. Great ocean views from main living area and kitchen plus 2 bedrooms. 5 bedrooms (all upstairs- be aware if someone in your group has difficulty with stairs) with good amounts of space. Very nice updated bathrooms and an awesome shower upstairs!! Kitchen well equipped and pleasant to cook in. Dining table has room for 10! Kids used backyard for volleyball, easy walk to Atlantic Path.

Fantastic location

This is the perfect place to get away in a beautiful setting. The house is set up perfectly and is super comfortable and modern. The deck is unbelievable and we spent most of our time out there. Its very quiet - you can only hear the crickets and the ocean at night. There was an unfortunate problem with the wifi but they did their best to get it fixed as soon as possible - very responsive and super nice. We hope to be able to go back again.

Best House Rental ever! August 2023

This house was just as listed. Extremely clean, (something that is very important to me) Well stocked with anything you could need. Central location to everything. Easy to get to Rockport downtown, as well as Good Harbor Beach and Gloucester. Neighborhood was great. Very friendly folks. Wonderful trails down to the Atlantic from the house and neighborhood. Incredible views from all balconies and deck. Appliances , furniture was upscale and new. Host very friendly, responsive to questions and helpful. 3 generations stayed here and had a blast. I read all reviews before renting and you always wonder what a rental will be in reality. I can say this was the best rental we have ever stayed in. We are hoping to come again next year!

nice older property. All went well. A couple of minor details which could easily be resolved included:1. Table foot on deck broken but did not impact function of table as we did not use it for meals. 2. No soap or shampoo for shower/bathroom other than hand soap. 3. spices and single salt/pepper shaker were good but zero sugar (we were not going to bake, so didn't need much but not even any for morning coffee, as we checked in late the first night.

Lovely oceanside location

Well-maintained, spacious house with nice decks to enjoy the spectacular ocean view. Tons of natural light and ocean views inside from the many windows. Super comfy beds/linens and towels. Stairs a bit narrow and slightly steep might be a challenge for some but no problem for us. Excellent kitchen. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

Amazing Home

The pictures don’t do this property justice. Absolutely beautiful, and very comfortable. The back yard is larger than it looks, perfect place for games like a soccer or corn hole. Didn’t have to contact the owner while there but I did a few times before the trip and she responded immediately. We had 9 people sleeping there and a few more during the day and for meals, and we had plenty of room. Very clean and quite a few small appliances in addition to large stove and refrigerator. We will go back for sure.

Exceeded expectations!

My stay at Golden Cottage by the Sea exceeded all my expectations. The view of the ocean was truly stunning and the house was spotless and well-stocked. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning looking out over the ocean. The neighborhood was lovely, with many public walking paths. I highly recommend Golden Cottage by the Sea for a quiet, seaside vacation.

Beautiful Views and Memories

This was our second stay at the Golden Cottage by the Sea. The cottage is clean and well kept with 5 bedrooms and an open main floor that is great for socializing. The view from the multiple decks is spectacular. We saw whales from the deck during our dinner on the first night. It is an easy drive to the Rockport Historic District and to Glouster for a dinner out or picking up fresh seafood at Turner’s Seafood. This is an easy home to make memories.

The Golden Family live in Roswell, Ga and enjoy their retreats to Rockport. They pastor St. Peter's Place Anglican Church and own Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee company which works with farmers in Rwanda while providing coffee drinkers in the U.S with an excellent cup.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Golden family fell in love with Rockport while Jonathan was attending Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. As Jonathan walked the paths of Cape Ann he was reminded of his families roots in Cornwall, England. The property is a historic home that they restored in 2006. It has beautiful views and easy access for brisk swims, kayaking and paddle boarding right from the back yard.

Bicycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, close enough to town but far enough for quietness. It is truly a family place.
