Awesome house

Property was exactly what was described in the posting. Views were awesome. Driveway is steep, 4wd will be a big help.

Peaceful and secluded

I was very impressed with our stay at this cabin. It was beautiful! We did have one issue with the fireplace not coming on. We called about it and they were not able to come that 1st night but they sent someone out to fix it the next day. The ONLY other complaints i would have would be the drive way where the gravel meets the pavememt needs to be filled because it was very rough on my car and the smell of the water was horrible but im sure that is not something that cannot be helped. Other than that, we had no complaints at all and i will definitely stay there again.

All good til last day

Very nice cabin, could use a few things in the kitchen but my family member staying in upstairs bedroom kept waking the next day itching and we didn’t know why til our last night, she woke up at 5 am feeling a bite and found bugs under bedding and around mattress. Needless to say we packed up and left quickly.

Lovely!

The house and lake are beautiful, and we had a terrific time. A couple of small suggestions -- just a few more cooking items, such as a larger pot for pasta and a colander, and a baking sheet. Also, the dishwasher instructions are not intuitive, so maybe some written instructions. I didn't figure it out until the day we left. Thanks for a great stay!

THE CABIN:

For those looking for a truly exceptional place to stay in the Smokies, Peacewood is just that, finely crafted and designed for our guest’s pleasure. A stacked stone fireplace is ready to keep your evenings cozy, with knotty pine walls and timber accents inviting and letting you know you’re in the mountains. Enjoy private time in the hot tub on the back deck, with a fire pit nearby for roasting marshmallows and late night stories. Rest assured you’ve found just the right place for your next Smoky Mountain getaway.Atop a ridge overlooking Douglas Lake, with spectacular views of the mountains to the south, you’ll be delighted you chose to spend your vacation in this gorgeous home.

A handsomely landscaped entry greets you as you unload in the level driveway, easily handling three cars. Just a couple steps up and you’re in the great room, with a modern kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. A large dining table seats eight hungry guests, with a bar for a quick bite looking into the kitchen.

Knotty pine walls fly up to the cathedral ceilings in the living room, open with lots of natural light. Here on the main level is a king bedroom with a full bath, and a washer and dryer as well for your convenience. Card and board games are available when it’s time for fun.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one a king and the other with a queen bed, with a full bath as well. A good-sized loft area offers a queen size sleeper sofa. A secret room over the front porch is perfect for the kids when they want a little space to themselves.

Ahh, the hot tub. You’ll love this one, on a private deck next to the woods. Next to the deck, a fire pit promises lazy nights under the stars with fireflies flitting. You’re not far from the attractions the Smokies are famous for so when it’s time for fun, it won’t take long to get there.
