Some Problems.
First night the fridge started making a loud clicking noise and stopped working. The host was responsive about the issue but we were without a fridge after getting $180 worth of groceries. The refrigerator was replaced 48 hours after the issue which was the soonest they could get someone to the house. They did reimburse us $100 towards the groceries but initially wanted recipes that we didn’t keep due to it being vacation and not work. We could hear animals scurrying around the attic and the kids wouldn’t even go upstairs alone due to the sounds. They would also make strange scratching sounds as well. One person said they were probably roof rats. The host said they would have the exterminators look into it but not sure anything happened there. It kept happening the whole trip. There were several small things that didn’t make sense not to fix but appears they know about them but chose to do nothing. The handle on the door going out to the back yard didn’t work well at all and had a hand written sign explaining what direction to turn it to make it work. That’s a $20 fix. The latch for the soap on the dishwasher was broken so you just had to stick the soap somewhere else in the dishwasher. Love the location of the place just not keeping up with routine stuff it seems like.
