Enjoy all that South Haven has to offer while also being able to escape the busyness of town! This recently remodeled 4 bed 2 bath farm house home sits on over 7 acres and is only 5 miles from downtown and across the street from the popular Lake Arvesta Sport complex. You will have room to roam and fresh eggs from the chickens onsite managed by Jaci the "Chicken Tender" and neighbor.

We currently have Madonna, Beyonce, Shakira, Whitney, Selena, and JLo. These rock stars are working hard to bring you fresh eggs for breakfast. Jaci is available to provide a chicken orientation to your group- especially if you have kids for $20.

The basement has a new fooseball and ping pong tables. There is a fire pit and lots of outdoor games to enjoy onsite. Your dog/s will enjoy a fenced in area just for them. Pet fee of $250 will be paid direct post booking.

Xfinity wifi provided for streaming- but tell the kids it doesn't work to get them off their devices and outside!
The water is "well water" so expect some discoloration and slight mineral smell. Drinking water from the refrigerator and at the kitchen sink has been filtered but you may prefer to purchase drinking water.
I will not be onsite but available by email or text with any questions.
Lovely farmland in South Haven just minutes away from all the town amenities and the Lake Michigan Beaches. You will love exploring the farmer's markets wineries and breweries of South Haven and Saugatuk. Not far from the Kal Haven trail and across the street from Lake Arvesta Sport complex.
7 acres of land to roam and discover.
You will enjoy the modern remodel of this farmhouse. The kitchen is stocked with all you will need for great meals at home. Plus fresh eggs from the farm's Rock stars. There is plenty of space to explore.
You will explore the area by car. Downtown South Haven is just a 12 minute drive. Lots of farmers markets, wineries and breweries to explore in the area.

A piece of county charm just minutes from family fun

Plenty of room for the whole family, fur babies included! Easy drive to the beach or family friendly water park right around the corner! Will be back!

Enjoyed our stay

We rented this to be close to Gingerman racetrack so I paid a little more than I wanted to for the location and the fact it was Labor day weekend. The road is a little busy, I was worried about our dog getting out. The beds are super comfy, but bring your favorite pillow, the house is clean, enough towels throughout, nice knives, well stocked kitchen except apron and serving/mixing bowls. Delicious eggs and apples. Nice bbq with utensils, fire pit was great plenty of wood. Drier door switch is finicky, dehumidifier in the basement would be nice, and better yard furniture. Could use a fence on the north property line.

Ok - but needs a lot of improvement

I think this may be a newer listing which may explain some things, but overall the cleanliness of the house left a LOT to be desired. There were spiderwebs all over, dog or cat hair on couch pillows, musty smells everywhere and the floors were very dirty everywhere and we felt the need to wear shoes or sandals everywhere we went because if we didn’t our feet were filthy within minutes. The owner did explain that they've had issues with their cleaning services and offered to reimburse us for a mop if we wanted to go buy one, but needless to say, this isn't at ALL what we wanted to deal with on vacation. We also kept smelling something terrible and finally found the culprit- a dead mouse under the kitchen sink in a trap. In addition, there was only 1 bath mat even though there are 2 showers and there were only 6 bath towels even though the house can fit 8 people. And oddly there is no AC in either of the 2 bedrooms on the main level. The good about the house - the chickens are definitely a unique touch! Free eggs were nice. The house had plenty of space for up to 8 people in beds and room for blow up mattresses if you decided to. The stairs from the upstairs are very steep though, so be careful! They provided nightlights which were nice to have in the night. It's about 3 mins from blueberry picking, 12 mins from Kids Corner and the Beach, and it is right across from Lake Arvesta. Would have loved it if the 7 acres that it was on had a trail or we knew what else we could check out, but there is a grill, a firepit and of course the chickens! The kitchen was well stocked - even had Tupperware. And the washing machine and dryer were good. The pool table was in terrible shape though, so we didn't try to play at all. I believe this can be a 5-star stay with some elbow grease and updating, but for now, it's a 3 star for us.

This is my 6th vacation rental and 3rd in South Haven. I love the area and was so excited to purchase this farm property.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I think it's the perfect getaway from the city. A lot of privacy and space to roam, but so convenient to downtown South Haven, wineries, breweries, and Lake Arvesta activities. When I found my neighbor Jaci to raise chickens, I was ecstatic!
