If your days are meant for the water, taking a long nature bike ride, run, or walk, Rock Lake House has something to offer everyone. It is within minutes to downtown shopping in South Haven, Kal-Haven Trail, Van Buren State Park and the surrounding area. This get-away home is full of character and is located steps from one of the best beaches with amazing views of Lake Michigan. It is a cozy three-bedroom home with two full baths, a fully functional cottage style kitchen, eating area and spacious living room which overlooks the lake. There is ample parking and a fenced in backyard for your furry family members. Children and adults will love the outside fire pit for evening s'mores. You will not want to miss the Michigan sunsets sitting on your deck because it is absolutely beautiful. Get ready to create memories and enjoy all that South Haven Michigan has to offer at the Rock Lake House!

Being relatively local, we’ve stayed up and down SW MI lakeshore. This was a great location to explore both South Haven & Saugatuck. Nice walkable neighborhood with some of the best views around. The yard space and proximity to beachfront at this property is really unbeatable compared to other lakefront rentals in this price range and beyond, not to mention the dog friendly aspect. There is a multi story home directly behind this one that luckily was empty while we were there but I can see how that may be the only negative if occupied privacy wise. I do think that the open front lot to the lake makes up for it. It can be tough to find lake access without the accompanying stair climber, the tram worked great for everyone. The beach was larger than expected with lots of room to spread out, but definitely utilized by renters and locals alike. Great rock hunting (bring your water shoes!). Home was well stocked, including dog bowls. It was clean, and functional. Evening smores at the fire pit, stargazing, and my 6 year old and her collie running through the yard at sunset are some of the core memories we’ll take with us. We like to explore different neighborhoods, but this property is a gem worth returning to.

Family Vacay

Trip was overall great! The property was nice and conveniently located. Beach was beautiful and not crowded. The only downsides were that all the windows in the upstairs bedroom didn’t have screens so we couldn’t open them on cool nights without bugs getting in! The grill was rusty, and there was construction happening right across the street.

Lovely Lake Cottage with Great Views

Rock House is a charming lake house on a large, water-front lot with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The beach is down a bluff, where you take stairs or motorized trams, which were pretty cool. The beach is sandy and you can walk for a very long way, if interested. We had a great time and highly recommend the property.

Beautiful location just minutes from Downtown South Haven

We had our family at the house and all of us are adults. Wonderful view of lake from top of cliff. Sunets are worth planning for as well.The hosts make it real eady to access the private beach by using the member-only trams down the clift. We brought all of our beach gerar and paddles boards - no problem.The house has a very large great room that extends into the open-area kitchen. It was great cooking, playing games and hanging out.The outside deck is also a highlight. The propane grill was easy to use as well.We brought our labradoodle and he loved it as well. Nice fenced-in yard for him.Totally recommend this location and the hosts!!!

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful beach house. Great location to enjoy various towns along the Lake. Nice beach for swimming. Enjoyed the sleep number beds. This was the perfect house to bring our dog along. Well stocked kitchen! Would love to come back!

Excellent!

This home has everything you are looking for in a rental- we rented it for the large enclosed yard for our two dogs, privacy (lots of room between this home and the neighbors), within minutes of the beach (2 min walk and a tram ride down!), and the open floor plan. The home has everything you need- even a shower in the yard to get the sand off before heading inside. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the spacious deck with incredible views of Lake Michigan and watching the sunset from the front of the home. It’s not often that homes this great are open to having pets join their families on getaways- we will most definitely be coming back!!

Nice, Peaceful Stay with a Lakeview

Beautiful home and well cared for! We enjoyed the lake view from the inside large open floor plan with lots of windows. Nico loved the large, beautiful enclosed back yard. It’s convenient to have 2 bathrooms too. It would be nice to come back in the warmer months to enjoy that long front porch. The owners were very accommodating and responded quickly. We visited all 3 restaurants they recommended. Great food! Highly recommend this home!!!

Great Winter Getaway with Pets

We enjoyed our weekend here. The hosts are great at communication, answering any questions we had very quickly. The furniture is comfortable and has a great layout. Everything we needed was there. We really appreciated having the wood and fire starters available! We also really appreciated the setup was pet friendly. The fenced in yard was a great advantage! It was close to town and I would love to come back and see it in the summer!

SUN SETS.

It’s exactly what we needed. Lake front. Gorgeous views. A yard to play in. Fenced in backyard for the pooch. A fire pit. Cool rustic cottage feel. Property owner couldn’t have been nicer and more responsive. We’ll be back.

Lovely place to stay! The view of the lake from the house was excellent and it was a short walk to the stairs for the beach. The neighborhood was quiet. The house was clean and well setup. No complaints & would stay here again!

Great property!

Spent 4 days at this house and couldn’t have been more pleased. It’s dog friendly with nice fenced back yard. The location is lake front in quiet neighborhood. South Haven is short drive away and nice little town. Would stay again if in the area.

Amazing Getaway- pleasantly surprised!

This property is incredible. Literally perfect for my fiance and I and our 2 bigger pups. gorgeous view of the lake, easy access to a private beach, perfect balcony and backyard to enjoy with your pets. Place was super clean and had everything we could possibly need. Hosts were super responsive. We did not want to leave and wanted to extend! Hoping to come here every few months for a getaway. Didn’t get to explore the town because we loved the house so much! Highly recommend just don’t book it out over us!

Great stay for our small family

We loved the location of this home! Just a few short steps to the tram which takes you down to the most peaceful and beautiful beach! We loved spending time on the lake, and also appreciated the proximity to town. The home and kitchen had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Bonus points for the fenced in yard for our dog!

Holiday weekend stay

Great quiet, pet friendly location for a holiday weekend. We had a little trouble finding the location as we arrived after dark so we turned on lakeview road and not beach road so we were confused. Once we found the property all was well. Amenities as described and kitchen was well stocked with all items to make a comfortable stay. We managed with one bathroom for 4 guests on this short weekend but might be a bit difficult with more people and longer stay. The owner did notify that a second bathroom is being renovated. Loved visiting South Haven their shops and the local markets for fresh produce and meats. Enjoyed lots of walks around the neighborhood. A lovely relaxing weekend. Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

Wonderful house with lake views

Lovely home closer to lake and private local beach. Lake sunsets viewed from the porch. Large open floorplan. And pet family members enjoyed the fenced back yard. We will be back.
