We have a fur baby who we love so much we always want to bring him traveling. Unfortunately there are slim pickings for pet friendly properties. We were so happy to find this property that was pet friendly AND a wonderful place to stay! The beds were comfortable and the living room was spacious! The access to the back yard was so easy to let our pup outside and then the dumpster was just steps away to pick up after him. The heat was easy to adjust and the water pressure in the shower was great. The only negative we could find was that the mattress on the pull out sofa was a bit thin so did not make for the best sleep. We would definitely stay here again!
Great place, great location, however...
This place is great. Very clean, cool older house, and a great location. We were 15 minutes to everywhere we wanted to see & do in St. Louis. However, I wish I would have considered it being an older house with thin walls & the fact it is a duplex. We have 4 kids, and without much effort we can be a little loud. We got a phone call from the owner that the neighbors had complained . The neighbors had said we were shaking the entire house & it sounded like we were having a huge party late into the night & continuing early in the morning. We did get in a little late, but still had all the kids asleep by the posted quiet hours of 10:00. The kids did wake up at 6:30 (quiet hours go until 7am). But all they did was lay on the couch & watch cartoons. My point being is the kids were not being wild & crazy. We were just talking & going about our normal routine when we got accused of throwing wild parties. Not sure if the house somehow amplifies noise, or the neighbors are particularly sensitive. When the owner called she was completely nice & understanding. However the rest of our trip had a damper on it, because we felt like we had to whisper & tip toe, since our normal activity was too loud for the neighbors. I would 100% recommended this property to quiet couples traveling. I would just caution families a bit, about the noise concerns.
Great location for Barnes Jewish Hospital
Nice little house, good location close to hospital which was what we needed. Only issue was bathroom size, very small which we understand due to house size but difficult for larger adults to access.
Centrally located, Great 2 bedroom apartment
This apartment is in a very safe, quiet, residential area. No more than 10-15 minutes drive to the Arch, Barnes Jewish Hospital, SLU, St Louis Cathedral. Great restaurants nearby, off-street parking. Would definitely stay here again!
Cute little place but wouldn’t rent again
This is a cute little place. Has the old charm with new cosmetic updates. The bathroom was super small with little room between the toilet and shower, there are no child safe dish ware, some of the wooden floor in the hallway has a chunk out of it and got a splinter walking on it, beds and sheets are comfy but HOT, the pans in the kitchen take FOREVER to cook your food, upon arrival the basement door to get to the washer and dryer lock was broken but was fixed the next day, but my main complaint is this being a duplex (share a floor/ceiling) I must have looked over this in the description. The people above us were SO LOUD all throughout the night and morning that it kept waking my babies up! It sounded like they were stomping, dropping/throwing things on the floor, moving furniture. The first night they were loud from 4am-7am the next night they were loud from 11pm-4am. So, if you are a light sleeper or have babies/children this probably is not the place for you. There is street parking in the front of the house (if you can find a spot) and a spot in the back but you have to go down a super narrow alleyway. Like I said above the house is cute with the old charm and new cosmetic updates. There was a hair dryer, some toilet paper in the bathroom, coffee pot with coffee and creamer, a cute little enclosed porch in the back of the house we used as a little playroom, that we were pleasantly surprised with. I would recommend a rocker recliner for the living room as there isn’t much seating other than the couch and an accent chair. if this wasn’t a duplex I could look over all the other little things and would rent again but I like my sleep.
