"Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit... " - asJourney describes.. I grew up in a suburb of the Motor City, home of Bob Seger and Alice Cooper. Cooper and his band, auditioned for Frank Zappa and were subsequently given their first record deal at Zappa's house, nicknamed The Cabin', just a few doors down the street on Laurel Canyon. Above me too I've been told the neighboring parcel that abuts my land is owned by none other than Jacob Dylan, gifted him by his legendary Dad, Bob! Lots of star musical energy still pulsates through these hills. As a garage band member in college, It's a thrill to feel even a tiny part related to this block of cultural history in the American Experience. The rural beauty provides a fresco that preserves all the glamour and talent and continues to inspire any who visit or live here.
I enjoy walking my dog in the hills, encountering nature and often wildlife just outside my door; love playing tennis, hiking, running nearby trails, surfing, and singing to my guitar or any who'll listen. Writing and reading Poetry is a fun hobby when the muse beckons.
