Main street retails and food/bars/cafes in Santa Monica is barely 20min walk...Fiber optic Internet for your downtime or to get some serious work done and quick access to major highways to explore more of the City !

The property was very clean and true to the listing and pictures. The close proximity to the beach, restaurants and shopping was very convenient. The hosts were accessible and easy to communicate with.

Great location

You certainly could not beat this location, a five minute walk to the beach. Alex was a terrific host, very responsive to any questions I had. The apartment was very clean and well stocked thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

This place was NOT what the pictures show! It was absolutely disgusting. I would not stay here at all. The guy communicated until we actually had issues. The heat in LA was oppressive and he told us to open windows and use a fan. When you opened the windows there were no screens so the bugs could definitely get in. He had a fan that was not cutting it. The bathroom showed a shower curtain and it had glass doors that were gross. Major filth and the bathroom cabinet was old and broken down. There was dirt and filth everywhere. The pictures do it justice but when you arrive you go from smile to frown. Also, the smell of mold and mildew slaps you in the face. They had an electric scented diffuser running to cover up the smell. Does not help asthma/copd individuals. Do not let the pictures fool you and the reasonable rate. There are plenty of places to stay that are amazing! This place is not! Do your homework before you stay here.

This is a true gem in Venice Beach!

From beginning to end, this was a fantastic experience and a wonderful stay we had in Venice Beach. Alex was the most attentive host and communication was so easy. The loft is super spacious and has everything one needs. I do not have one single negative thing to say about our stay. It was perfect!

Comfy Studio

This studio apartment was in great shape and in a great location for food, shopping, and beach access. Everything was clean and well cared for and we had all of the amenities we needed for a multi-day stay. Alex was easy to communicate with and quickly answered all of our questions.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay at the Windward condo. It was close to the beach and beach activities, restaurants, coffee shops. A lot of places to walk to. The condo was well set up. It was very clean. A comfortable bed and pillows, plus some extras like coffee, plenty of towels, bathroom extras. A quiet place in the front for early morning coffee and reading. When staying here you will have a wonderful stay.

Pleasant stay near the beach

The location was great and it was easy to access everything. Very clean and organized but the bathroom felt a little tiny. Bathroom door also didn't shut properly. Also a little noisy at night from people on the street sometimes. Overall a pleasant stay though I can't see myself staying here for more than a couple days for the price.

Excellent place to stay right near Venice Beach

Alex’s place is in the perfect location with venice beach being a 5 minute walk away. There is a lot to do in the area between the beach, exploring excellent restaurants, coffee shops, shopping on abbot kinney, and biking to Santa Monica. My friend and I rented a car for our stay to explore more of LA and had no problems with finding parking on the street. Alex was an excellent host with many great suggestions on what was going on in the area! I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking to stay in the Venice Beach area. :)

Wonderful location and clean stay

Our stay here was great. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The location was wonderful- very close to the beach and Abbot Kinney and felt safe. Parking was not an issue- there is plenty of street parking. Alex was very responsive and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The only downfall is that the back wall is actually a sliding door that is bolted. Therefore, you can hear the neighbors very prominently when they are doing laundry or entering or exiting the property. However, they are not able to enter and was only a minor issue overall. It just threw us off guard but overall was a wonderful experience and value for the money!

Perfect place for everything you need and want to enjoy,

Very nice, efficient space. Easy leisurely walk to multiple coffee shops. Numerous great restaurants very close as well. Less than 5 minute walk to Venice Beach Boardwalk. Marina del Rey is close. Santa Monica and Malibu are easy treks. Anywhere else is straightforward from the area. (Depending on your ability to adapt to LA driving.) Checking in is a breeze. TV station selection allows for good down time entertainment, if you need it. Hosts are responsive, but otherwise leave you to yourself. Once again, very laid-back situation. The Venice strip is full of variety. You want junk or high end, take your choice. More great food and drink. And if you are gluten free, the options far exceed anywhere I've been and are not hard to find. Check out Saints and Sinners bakery on Lincoln. Very short drive; 1/2-hour walk. Weather is cooler on the coast and walking is very comfortable. Bring a sweat for the morning and evenings.

Pros: Location -> this is my old neighborhood :: Hama Sushi is a life-long favorite of mine! Thoughtful / Clean accommodation No Keys! Surprisingly easy parking (except weekends) Super comfy bed Cons: Noisy :: part of this due to location / drunk, late night folks :: weekends were particularly problematic. I had to get out of bed at 2am (after an already noisy night) due to someone having a party in their van : that was the last night. Neither myself or my guest got any sleep to speak of. Guests next door / upstairs (same unit?) > sounded like a pack of small elephants and their dog with more than one friend yelling from downstairs about how to get in. The back ‘door’ has zero sound insulation - a proper door would help to mitigate that :: thankfully you only hear that (entrance) till they get to their accommodation. So, mixed bag

Perfect for our weekend beach trip! The studio was about a 5 min walk to the beach, with street parking. There were plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream within walking distance. The host was easily accessible and made the rental process smooth.

The property itself and the location are pretty great. Only negatives are street parking only, and Windward Ave can be kind of loud until late night as it is a cut through street from one of the main roads (Abbott Kinney) to the beach. Flip side to that is that you are super close to excellent dining/shopping/coffee/cocktails in one direction, and to the beach in the other direction! Overall it was a great rental experience.
