FRONT AND BACK DOOR
- We have a fully operating bear-proof system installed over the doors and windows for renters protection year round. There are bright red ON/OFF knobs that should be used. Turn off when you want to enter, please leave ON whenever leaving the home or going to bed. Do not touch wires when the system is ON as there is electric current running to deter bears. You do NOT have to turn on/off the system if using the garage to enter and exit the house. Note that bears are common in Tahoe, particularly when no one has been a home for a multiple days in a row. There has never been an issue with renters at our home, but we just want to be extra cautious so that all of our guests can be reassured they are safe.

The house is located in the a quiet, residential neighborhood in Tahoe Vista, with beaches, hikes, restaurants, and other activities within walking distance or a very short drive. Easy access to highway 80 makes it easy to get in and out.

- Nature reserve adjacent to our neighborhood with walking paths (1 min walk)
- Pep's Place for breakfast/lunch, Old Range Steakhouse for a nice dinner (0.3mi, 5 min walk)
