The Lost Herring is a tranquil garden retreat located in the idyllic West End neighborhood of Provincetown, just off the Commercial street ‘bend.’ Close to the bayside beaches, you’ll see water vistas peeking through the trees at the end of the street as you approach the front gate.

The 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo is covered in cool coastal decor and layered with luxury amenities. You’ll love the vintage charm, convenient desk space and private patio retreat. The high ceilings give the 340 square foot hideout a feeling of light-filled airyness. From parking to washer/dryer to private outdoor space, everything you need is provided and the layout is efficient and perfect for a couples getaway.

BEDROOMS & BATH
The Lost Herring comfortably sleeps up to two guests, making it ideal for couples or a single traveler’s ‘hideaway.’ The separate bedroom includes one king size bed, a Serta perfect sleeper mattress and premium bedding from Parachute & Brooklinen. Closet space for two, convenient desk space and built-in nightstands with reading lamps round out the bedroom.

The condo has one bathroom with a standup shower and currently features Malin+Goetz amenities. We also supply a hairdryer, single use make-up wipes, Q-tips and cotton pads. Bath linens include shower towels, hand towels, washcloths and makeup towels.

KITCHEN & DINING
The efficiently sized kitchen features a two-burner, electric cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and a Breville smart oven… perfectly sized for a 9x13 roasting pan or 12 cup muffin tray. The open shelving and cabinets are fully stocked with all the cookware and utensils you’ll need. Enjoying your favorite cup of joe is made easy with the 12 cup French press, whole bean grinder or fully automatic coffee maker.

Feeling like a barbeque…? Step out to the patio for an afternoon cookout on the gas grill and outdoor table that seats up to six.

Inside, the fold-down dining table seats 2 and has shelving for a bar and extra snack storage. Perched atop the bar is our Old Salt Hideout namesake, stylishly displayed in a cool-colored needlepoint.

INDOORS
Modern and retro furnishings with impeccably curated antiques adorn the living space. A smart TV for your favorite streaming services is provided for those quieter moments at home. Feeling nostalgic…? Pop a vinyl record on the U-Turn turntable for some warm, low fidelity tunes.

OUTDOORS
The fenced brick patio features a large outdoor table for six and modern Adirondack chairs for morning coffee among the garden plantings. Tucked away off Commercial street near Perry’s Provincetown, this historic locale is only steps from the bayside beaches and ‘center of town’ fun. Pubs, coffee, fresh seafood and your favorite sandwich shops are all within walking distance. Local boutiques, bike rentals, and fishing charters are also a short stroll away.

RENTAL AGREEMENT - This agreement is not a lease and conveys no rights in actual property at any time. Your use is limited to the terms herein. By booking this reservation, you agree to the additional policies, terms, and conditions below.

[1.] Only the specific Guest noted in the booking and in prior written approval from Host are allowed on the premises. Visitors and guests of the original booking Guest are not allowed to stay overnight at the property without the presence of original booking Guest. A violation of this House Rule will result in the immediate removal of all Guests (and any visitors) from the property without a refund.

[2.] Parking is restricted to the designated parking space listed in the check-in procedures and is limited to one standard size automobile. Vehicle must be parked in designated space at all times and must not block entry to parking lot or other parking spaces. Multiple vehicles, commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles, boats, and trailers are strictly prohibited.

[3.] Your sole right to use the property begins at 3PM on the first day of your booking (check-in) and ends at 10AM on the last day of your booking (check-out), unless other times are approved in writing in advance.

[4.] Pets and/or animals of any kind are not allowed. This includes Emotional Support Animals and/or ADA complaint animals as the Property's HOA strictly prohibits this and host is highly allergic.

[5.] Smoking of any type is not allowed inside the Property, on the decks/patios or within 20 feet of any exterior door of the building. This includes but is not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, incense, or any other type of smoking device. A $200/per day penalty will be incurred if any sign or smell of smoke is encountered during the Guest's stay or after check-out. Cigarette monitors are installed at the Property and Host will be remotely notified when smoke is present.

[6.] No illegal use of Property: No illegal or abusive use of the Internet access is allowed. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction from the Property. All Guests and visitors agree that any drug use on the Property, or using the Property for any unlawful purpose, or violation of any law or ordinance on or about the Property will be grounds for immediate eviction and cancellation of reservation. Guest shall be liable for any and all cost incurred by Host, relating to illegal use of the Property, and a refund will not be provided.

[7.] Events, parties and gatherings of more than 6 people are strictly prohibited.

[8.] Furniture and Decor: Indoor furniture and decor is not to be rearranged. If items are temporarily moved they must be replaced in their original position as soon as possible. Dragging furniture may result in scratches on the floor that will be considered Property damage. Under no circumstances should Guest bring indoor decor outside. Under no circumstances should Guests move in unauthorized furniture or decor.

[9.] Bookings longer than 12 nights will require a mid-stay cleaning for each additional week or increment thereof, at the expense of the Guest. The online booking system does not automatically add mid-stay cleans, so Host will contact Guest after the reservation has been made to confirm details.

[10.] All Property Home Owner's Association rules and regulations apply to all Guests and visitors.

[11.] With reasonable notice, Guests shall allow the Property owner, Hosts or any designated party access to the Property for routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs, or inspection of the unit.

[12.] If for any reason beyond the control of the owner, the Property is unavailable, we may cancel your reservation with only a refund of the actual fees and/or deposits you have paid.

[13.] Guests must comply with all House Rules. Failure to comply with House Rules may result in immediate eviction, cancellation, and/or forfeiture of all monies paid without notice or relocation. House Rules are stated in the Property house manual that's provided digitally with booking confirmation, again ahead of check-in and on-site at the property.

[14.] If Guest violates any of the House Rules they forfeit the right and ability to leave a public review of Property and Hosts.

[15.] We may withhold all or part of your deposit and monies paid if you fail to follow the House Rules in this agreement, the Property listing or the Property house manual. If the cost of damages, losses, or missing items should exceed the amount of the deposit, we will bill you for the difference, notify the booking platform and/or pursue legal action.

Cause(s) for withholding deposit or collecting additional funds include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents; missing or broken items; required excessive cleaning; not complying fully with departure procedures; smoke odors, damage or evidence of smoking; mailing charges for items left behind; unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property; the presence of an animal without authorization; noise complaints after 10pm, neighbor disruption complaints; trespassing on neighboring properties; and unauthorized late check-out.

This agreement is in effect from the time and date of the confirmation of your booking.
