I am going to try to be fair with this review, but honestly, my husband and I were overall disappointed. Since a lot of what I am going to say is negative, I will give the positives first. First, the housekeeping crew did a great job except for one very important thing (which I will mention below) - the windows were so clean they almost looked like you could reach a hand outside and touch the Gulf. The bed and sheets were AMAZING - I am actually going to look at getting a memory foam mattress because of that, and the sheets were very soft. The shower had the perfect amount of pressure, and it had a fairly new refrigerator, newer TV, and WiFi was good strength.
Now for the negative - I feel the gallery for this rental really misrepresented it. The pictures made the unit appear much larger and more inviting than it actually was, when the rental actually has mirrors on one whole wall that gave it that effect. Plus, mirrored walls always make you wonder if there is a camera installed in the background with someone watching you behind it. The place is TINY. and the balcony is tiny. My husband and I usually pack heavy, and we barely had any room to move around once we had our suitcases open. And that was just the two of us - there is no way it would be appropriate for any more than 2 people. Plus, we got there at 2:00 in the morning, and the unit as a whole was VERY uninviting at that hour without the windows open. The curtain in front of the balcony looked very cheap, did not match the window covering, and made it FEEL cheap. There is a leather couch, which may be easier to clean, but in Florida heat, is NOT the best comfortable choice for a guest. There were also way too throw pillows - that takes up usable suave as well. The walls were also very thin - there were a few times it almost sounded like someone broke into the condo, the voices/noises from outside and above were so "close". Also, the stove did not include an oven, which we have had with other condo kitchenettes and was disappointing because we had a couple meals planned where we would need an oven. Plus, not sure where the pictures of the pool and beach were taken, but the pool and deck is much smaller than represented, and the "walkable" beach in front of the property is super tiny as well - there is a space that is taken up by vegetation, and when the tide is in, there is really no way of having a private place to walk because you have a ton of people taking up the majority of the available beach with umbrellas, etc. It is marginally better at night when the tide is out, but not by much. Now, this next mention has nothing to do with the condo, just a note for people like me that like sand with very few shells in it (IE, walking in sand with no shoes on) - this beach isn't it. I had high hopes for it since it is 5 minutes from Clearwater, but there were a ton of broken shells in the surf, and I did not take off my shoes once.
I mentioned the one faux paux housekeeping made - ONE roll of toilet paper to last the whole week. We also noticed when the refrigerator was shut, the doors would consistently pop back open again, which makes me think the fridge may not be level on the floor. The lock on the door, though great that it just required a code and not a key, sometimes had a hard time "connecting" the deadbolt into the doorjamb. We did not report any of these things because they were minor annoyances, and we had a lot planned and didn't want to have to wait around for someone to get there and fix something - just bringing it up for Vacasa to look at for future bookings.
In conclusion, we spent close to three grand on this unit for a week, and for that much money, we were not happy about the misrepresented photos. It was too late to get anything else, and we didn't want to waste money, so we made it work, but in prior vacations, I was able to get a larger, nicer condo for less money.
