Jazz fest stay

Had an amazing time, convient location to everything we needed. Perfect place and cool hangout area outback. Definitely would stay again and highly recomend.

Not a positive experience.

Where do I begin? It is clear the owner treats this VRBO not as an opportunity to give their guests a comfortable and memorable experience but just to do the bare minimum to maintain a listing. This VRBO lacked basic necessities. No salt in the kitchen, no basic kitchen tools like a knife to cut fruit or sponge to wash the dishes with. No dish soap to do dishes with. There was an old air mattress that did not stay inflated. In fact the owner didn’t bother to say anything until we asked for a replacement after a night of terrible sleep on the deflated mattress flat on the ground, to which the owner messaged us that they ordered one which was currently on its way being shipped and hoped to have it over that evening. So only upon prompting, they bothered to notify us that they were going to replace the old air mattresses. There were not enough towels. There were no pillow covers/cases. Not all the outlets worked in the living room and bedroom. The toilet shakes, is not stable and is slanted and is not firmly fixed to the ground. The drawers in the kitchen are angled and not fixed into their tracks properly. They slide downwards and the knives and forks could easily fall on our feet. The tv and wifi set up did not work. The tv was not picking up the wifi and it kept disconnecting. Upon asking for clarification, the owner sent us a bunch of buttons to press which did not make any sense (U might have to factory reset it: Here are the steps: press home button 5 times, up button once, rewind button 2 times and fast forward button 2 times. Do this in a sequence correctly and the tv will Factory reset) This did not work. The futon is not stable when pulled into a bed. It tipped over multiple times when trying to get on or off. The owner invited his friends to have a party in the backyard with the cabana and hot tub, including bringing a DJ and catered food. They had not notified us at all of these plans. His friends notified us that they were using the backyard til 10pm, for well over 8 hours. As a group of 5 girls on a bachelorette weekend getaway, we did not feel comfortable as there were a bunch of guys in the backyard which interrupted our plans to use the hot tub. The photos of this place looked great but it was disappointing to see how poorly it has been maintained, how unkept this place was, and how unprofessionally we were treated as guests..

Very Disappointed in this Listing

We loved the location of this property, but we felt very mislead when we checked in. The property said "Sleeps 5," but it barely slept the 4 of us that were there (it would comfortably sleep 2). There was ONE bed (full size) and ONE set of linens. Other than that, there was an air mattress provided, but the air mattress had a hole in it, so was non-functional (and also no linens for it). There was also no room to "inflate" said mattress (if it hadn't been broken) without moving all of the furniture in the unit. Additionally, there was one single futon that could be folded down to sleep (very uncomfortably) one person. But again, no linens or pillows provided for this futon. The "fully equipped kitchen" had only 4 mugs and one glass provided; no other dishes. The dishwasher wasn't attached to the wall and didn't work. There were 2 used rolls of paper towels provided, each with about 1/4 of the roll left (same went for toilet paper in the bathroom). The toilet wasn't fully attached to the floor, and kept coming away from it every time anyone sat on it. We were afraid that it would break away entirely and cause a flood. Also, the listing states a "soaker tub," and there was only a small stand-up shower. Lastly, the air conditioning didn't work at all. There was a wall thermostat that could be adjusted, but the fan and cooling unit never kicked in, no matter what we changed. Overall, although we enjoyed our trip to New Orleans, we were pretty disappointed in this property, and tried to spend as little time as possible in it.
