Centrally located 1bed 1bath,walk to French Q, Bourbon St. & Jazz venues
This super cute 1 bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of a 100+ year old building in the Faubourg Marigny-St Claude & was renovated in 2023 & features all new everything.
Located on the Streetcar line and 4 blocks of the French Quarter, walking distance to Bourbon & Frenchmen street and just steps from many great bars, jazz lounges on St Claude & St Bernard Ave. enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located place.
Was not aware the property was in the hood.location is on a Main Street ,traffic and people very noisy. One good thing was the property is gated and surrounded by cement walls.
Nice place was loudish music from nearby bar but not enough to keep us awake, also we stayed over new years so not sure if it is always like that. We walked every where some bars restaurants nearby and about a 10 min walk to Frenchmen st. We really enjoyed it.
The neighborhood is not great, with homeless people sleeping on the property sidewalk and urinating. Corner is popular hangout spot for locals. Once inside the secure gates, I felt safe. Unit was as described and in mostly in good working order. Bed is very comfortable. Floors had not been swept and mopped from the prior guest. Internet WiFi was unreliable and was down more than working. This property is not within a safe walking distance of the French Quarter. mopped from
It was just me staying, and Iâm not terribly picky. It was clean and sufficiently furnished. Nothing fancy. The unit was fine to just sleep at while in town with a larger group for a party and I didnât need to cook meals. The neighborhood is somewhat transitional so just be aware of your surroundings if youâre by yourself or outside at night. Otherwise close to the French quarter and other things so it worked.
The place was excellent. The property is not far from the French Quarter. It was easy getting around from there. The only problem with the location is the noise from the place directly behind the property. Until about 3am all you hear are motorcycles reving up. Loud music & thumping from cars just hanging out. Other than that, this place is great.
The apartment (not house pictured) is at the end of the gated entrance (note: gate does not lock). The apartmen backs up to a corrigted metal partition and on the other side is where locals congirgate to party. When I say party, I mean to say that there is yelling, loud music with lots of base, and people reving their car engines well into the morning hours. We had to turn on all of the fans (including the bathroom), close the bedroom door, and play ocean sounds on the TV and our phone to lessen the noise to a level where we could actullay sleep. While this is not the owner's fought, you need to be aware. The place was clean, decorations were cute, the kitchenette met our needs with all the comforts of home. My only wish is that the place could be transplanted to a quieter location.
This apartment was all brand new and very nice! We did have an issue with the plumbing in the bathroom, but Jose was very responsive and had the issue resolved in a timely manner. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit NOLA.
About half a mile from the Armstrong Park, but conveniently only a block away from the bus line.
The place is older, so you will be able to hear the people above you move about.
Both air and heat work fantastically.
Bed is LOW to the ground, but very comfortable.
Booking and check in was easy. VRBO map showed this property across Esplanade from the quarter when the actual location was about 6 blocks away from the quarter. WiFi while not the responsibility of the management, was awful. I found it difficult to stay connect and contact the host but he did respond quickly when I made the contact.
