The Friedel Haus at Gruene B&B

The Friedel Haus, formerly known as Martha's Cottage, was built in 2003 by the former owners of the previous bed and breakfast. The cottage was constructed by Mr. Jody Friedel, using reclaimed wood, which he hand milled on site. The reclaimed materials came from the "Old Civic Farmhouse" which was located on the property where Buccee's is now located. The Friedel's built their dreams here. We have reopened it to honor them!

This cottage has two separate master en suites. There is a shared dining space that separates the two suites. It has an efficiency kitchen that is located in the dining area. The kitchen includes an apartment sized refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, an electric stove top and a small farmhouse sink. It has your basic necessities for cooking and dining. The cottage has its own fire pit and bbq grill and courtyard.

The Friedel Haus is located on the back of the property. Please do not explore beyond the barn. This property has its own private fire pit and courtyard. There is no access to the owner’s personal property.

Aubry, the manager, is available via text and can be phoned if needed! When available she can meet you to check you in! The owners are occasionally on the property.

Gruene B&B is located 3/4 of a mile from Gruene Historic District. We have a neighbor on each side of the property, but you don’t even know they are there. Our property has a country feel, we are so close to town, but you wouldn’t know it!

We are located just 3/4 of a mile from Gruene Historic District. Uber is a very inexpensive way to get into town. We are also about 3 miles from downtown New Braunfels, Uber is a great way to explore our area.

There is a small pool that is private property and not available to guests. Please respect the owner’s personal property.
A deposit of 50% of the Total Price will be charged upon booking.
