Hygge (pronounced HUE-guh) is a Danish word to describe a feeling or moment of comfort and coziness experienced either alone or with family and friends, that evokes feelings of wellness and contentment.
Our 2,150 square foot home will be furnished in a Scandinavian, alpine modern style (cozy, simple, light, and bright!) designed to evoke the best of the hygge lifestyle: curled up under a soft throw, fire flickering in the background, sipping coffee and reminiscing with family and friends while the snow falls on the mountains around you. No detail has been overlooked to make your stay comfy and memorable, including radiant heat flooring through the entire house. Our open concept kitchen / living / dining area is ideally designed for hosting large groups (including those crazy kiddos!). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook for the whole crew. The main level has two bedrooms, both with queen beds (and the softest pillows to sink into). The master has an en-suite bathroom with a large, beautiful, marble-tiled shower and a two-sink vanity, while the second bedroom has a spacious full bathroom with tons of natural light (and those radiant heat floors are amazing on cold winter mornings).
The spacious basement (with 9 foot ceilings) includes a third bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed and plenty of room to roll out the self-inflating queen size air mattress. Also in the basement, the rec room with queen size pull out sectional sofa and giant flat screen TV (high speed wifi and cable included) is perfect for an additional sleeping space or to snuggle up for movie night. Lastly, the mudroom and laundry room provide ample storage space for all your gear and adventure toys, while the heated two-car garage will let you head to the slopes without scraping snow off your car.
