You can enjoy an evening tipple in the private courtyard style garden which enjoys the sunshine on a bright day.
Alcester has Roman heritage and there are many archaeological sites of interest in the town and surrounding area. The high street is reminiscent of a by gone era, and preserved Tudor cottages and other historical buildings are dotted throughout. There are endless options to spend your days during your stay including visiting one of the nearby historic houses and stately homes including Ragley Hall which hosts many events throughout the year, Coughton Court, Hanbury Hall and Warwick Castle, all within easy reach. Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon is just over 7 miles away where you can visit William Shakespeare’s birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, take a walking tour through the town, a boat trip on the River Avon or take in one of the Bard’s plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre.
Being in this area include Bidford on Avon, Evesham and the many pretty towns and villages that make up the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which are within a 30-minute drive.
