Very comfortable, with all needs met; even lovely and cool in the wonderful heatwave! Our second visit, with always a warm welcome from the hosts, Caroline and Paul. A convenient half hour from Stratford if visiting the theatres.
This accomodation is an absolute gem...from everything from the owners (Caroline & Paul) .....to the dogs (Clarabella, Amos & Rosie) to the chickens, the country garden and the River Arrow that runs along the bottom of it. The cottage itself is cosy and welcoming with a super king bed that provided a sounds nights sleep. The town is a 5 minute scenic walk and is very pretty. We intend to return.
Lovely apartment in the grounds of a beautiful listed building. The hosts were very welcoming. The parking was easy. There was a lovely local walk and several others within a short driving distance. The journey into Stratford was easy. We were there for a relaxing holiday and had a great time in this very tranquil spot.
The cottage is a great base for exploring the north Cotswolds area. Just a 10 minute walk away from pubs and shops too.
Caroline and Paul were helpful and friendly hosts who provided local recommendations.
Would recommend a stay at this property.
Clean, comfortable cottage with everything you could need for a home away from home stay.
Caroline and Paul were friendly and welcoming. Peaceful location but just 10 mins walk to shops and pubs. Would highly recommend.
We were lucky enough to stay at Caroline & Paul's traditional English cottage. It is in a tranquil setting with a beautiful garden and access to a river on the property. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay..
Caroline and Paul are the perfect hosts..welcoming, informative and knowledgeable about things to do and places to see. We had a wonderful time in a very comfortable and well appointed cottage. The location was a good location for exploring the Cotswolds.
Caroline and Paul grew up in the south of the country but have lived in the Alcester area for 40 years. Moved to Oversley Green in February 2016. Paul retired December 2015 from a varied career of engineering and education and Caroline works at the local children's centre.
We fell in love with this property that included the annex. The hamlet of Oversley Green is very friendly and rural but is only a short walk to town. The black and white cottage, the lovely garden and the riverside frontage sold it to us.
The property has fishing rights. Next to the river is the gazebo with a lovely sitting area with fire pit/ice bucket, depending on the weather, A small sitting area outside Heron View to enjoy breakfast by the fish pond.
