We have stayed here several times before and as always found the accommodation clean, warm and well equipped.Location is good for shops, theatre, eateries etc and most importantly for us, it is accessible for our family member with limited mobility.Lisa is easy to contact and nothing is too much trouble for her. Would definitely recommend.
This was a fabulous stay - beautiful apartment in a very central but quiet location.we really loved walking up the street and down the lovely canal path to the right into the town and strsight to the locely market. The accomodation was faultless- well equipped, warm and so comfortable.thank you- we will be back I'm sure.
This property was within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and pick up locations for tours. The property itself was lovely and just what we needed and wanted! We definitely recommend this property!
The apartment was very nice in a great location... just steps from Shakespeare's birthplace, shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.
This property is spacious and extremely well equipped. The furniture is in excellent condition and comfortable and the bedding and towels are adequate.
The property is also in a very convenient location.
I have owned Globe House since 2007 when I lived around the corner next to the canal. It's a lovely part of town and in very close proximity to the town centre. I enjoy walking along the canal path in both directions and sometimes walk from home down to the holiday cottage along this route. I enjoy preparing the holiday cottage for guests to arrive and can often be found during un-rented periods with a paintbrush or screwdriver in hand. I love hearing from guests that have enjoyed their break from their usual day to day grind and have left relaxed and refreshed. My special interest in bedding drives my partner nuts, we are often testing new pillows and towels as I aim to provide comfort and relaxation for your stay.
Whilst living round the corner and frequently passing through Great William Street to walk into town I saw Globe House for sale. The property has a lot of history, during it's lifetime it has been a publishing house, a pub and a holiday cottage. The property was in dire need of renovation when I bought it. The downstairs had been gutted except for the bar, with time and a lot of love the pub was converted into two apartments. The ground floor provides a lovely space to stay just a stone's throw from all the hubbub of the town centre.
The renovation was done to include some of the old expectations of a Victorian house that can be seen in the bathroom and the feature fireplace in the lounge with a mixture of new with a modern kitchen and en-suite wetroom to the master bedroom. Globe House is very central to the town and makes walking across the road and through the footpath next to the path by the library a short journey to then soak up the ambience of our historic town. The street is filled with cafe's and independent shops as well as the Shakespeare birthplace. I often wander down to the riverside in the summer and watch or listen to the street entertainers. There is also a lovely walk back along the canal path that brings you into the other end of Great William Street and back to Globe House. During the quieter winter period I am often found at the holiday cottage tweaking ready for the new season and will go into town at lunch time and enjoy lunch at the Deli or the Thatch, sometimes Hobsons, or popping into BB on Henley Street for a great coffee.
