Step through the gates into your secluded private hideaway, surrounded by 73 towering Cypress trees.

The sparkling turquoise swimming pool is at the heart of the property, overlooked by your spacious holiday home. Each window is a picture postcard of the garden, pool and Cypress trees.

The space
Our inspiration behind Good Times Retreat is to create a space for making lifelong memories and spending precious time with your friends and family, as we have with ours. Offering thoughtful touches that hopefully mean you can make the most of every moment of your well-earned escape from the daily grind.

Goolwa Beach is moments away for an early morning swim and coffee at Kuti Shack, with the waves crashing in the distance while you star gaze, roast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate around the stone fire pit.

Cooking
Our kitchen has the aesthetic charm of a 50’s Beach house but is totally refurbished with new easy-to-use appliances to whip up sumptuous meals. The open plan means that cooking and social time can go hand in hand. Chefs in the kitchen, chopping, preparing and chatting with guests while they sip ice-cold G&T’s

Butlers Pantry
Our filled-to-the-brim butler’s pantry has all the modern appliances to whip up a feast for your hungry guests.
Air fryer, Thermo multi-function mixer/cooker, Breville Juicer, Delonghi Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary pods, cafetieres, platters, dining sets, beautiful wine glasses, napkins and placemats. Stocked to set the most gorgeous table for your landmark celebrations. The additional bench space and sink mean that you can comfortably make a full multi-course dining experience or a quick n easy in dinner in the air fryer and a tossed salad. We leave a selection of pantry staples, spices and herbs to get you on your culinary journey!

Dining & Feasts
Let’s Eat! Enjoy meals at our dining table, which extends to accommodate up to parties of 10 with plenty of elbow room (nobody gets the short straw, having to sit straddling the table leg). Set under the glow of the pink neon ‘good times’ sign capturing the moment, ready to post it straight to socials.

You can also take casual meals on the balcony dining table and benches undercover, protecting you from all weather, and giving you a tree-side dining experience overlooking the garden. Our BBQ is here ready to flame up for your carnivore or herbivore guests.

Lounging Space.
Relax into the spacious lounge, set up to be conversational and social. A discrete Samsung Picture Frame TV blends into the deco when it’s not being used but is ready for you to catch up on Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, or flick on the news. Ready to go with one click of a button, no fussing around to log into accounts or navigate a frustrating TV matrix system. For movie night and big-screen film action, head to the Pool House…

Sleeping
Each bedroom has its own unique atmosphere, inspired by some of our favourite holiday locations. The Queens have been styled to be equally beautiful, with one small difference for the lucky occupant.

Coral Queen
Set in the heart of the room is your queen bed, with a mountain of pillows and cushions, bamboo quilts, pillows, nestled under a stunning coral velvet canopy. Spacious wardrobe, dressing table and mirror, ready for your holiday essentials.

Coral Ensuite
Tucked away is your private ensuite. Rain shower head, luxe products and a reviving shower experience.

Teal Queen
Has the same beautiful decor features as the Coral Queen with the spacious wardrobe, dressing table and mirror to set up your haven for the holidays but with dreamy blue hues and calming neutrals. Sleep soundly under your hand made canopy of pinstripe cotton and teal velvet.

Amalfi Twin
Sunshine and lemon yellow twin beds with piles of pillows fit for an Amalfi coast sun lounger. Rattan day beds, dresser, mirror and clothes hanger ready, so you can quickly unpack and head poolside with an Aperol Spritz in your hand.

Adventurers Cabin.
Cabin-inspired bunks with a little wooden staircase instead of boring ladders, each stair a storage draw for treasure (or clothes). Nautical vibe and blackout blinds to ensure your adventurers have sweet dreams, are well-rested and ready for tomorrow’s adventures.

Guest Bathroom
Easy access for your guests as our main bathroom has a separate powder room, toilet, shower and bathroom, so nobody has to wait in turn: Our bathing products create a beautiful calm space.

Entertainment

Pool House.
Inspired by the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel in LA, palm trees and a neon sign. By day, relax in the genuine 50’s cane lounge suite, and by night
settle in for a movie marathon with a 2 meter movie screen and projector, dim the lights, and lay back on the bean bags.

Bring along your favourite vinyl to play on our record player, which can also play your Spotify DJ list via Bluetooth.

The library is waiting for you to work through the Penguin classic ‘orange’ collection, a guilty pleasure Mills and Boon holiday romance or an Agatha Christie murder mystery. Solve the case in Cluedo, or put the world to rights with Cards Again Humanity. Toys, games and books to keep little people busy.

The Grounds
We have seating nooks tucked around the property, depending on if you are chasing sun rays or wanting an afternoon siesta in the shade. Little ones can play in the sweet cubby tucked into the trees, run about on the lawns and discover the mystery of the whispering Cypress trees…

Pool Side
Our pool is covered by the shade of our trees in the morning and basking in the afternoon sun. Float in the water, squeeze in a few laps, cool off or lounge about on deck chairs after your Fleurieu Peninsula adventures. Important info : the pool is not heated

Linen is not included in booking
We provide quilts, with covers and pillows, with protectors.
Guests are welcome to bring their own sheets and towels or we can provide hotel quality linen & towel sets, $30for queens and $25for singles. This include sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, hand towels, face washers and tea towels.

On arrival, the quilt covers will be on the beds, and we leave and sheets and pillowcases for guests to pop on themselves.

Our pocket of the world is quiet, calm and serene, which is why you will love it. So we aren’t the right choice if you are looking for a party house, event venue or play loud music. - we embrace the CittaSlow way.

We require you to send over a list of guests coming to our retreat so that we can prepare the rooms and our little special touches for your stay.

We have a RING CCTV doorbell on our entrance gate to account for how many guests enter the property.

Good Times accommodates a total of 10 people (8 Adults maximum, as our top bunks are only for children up to 10 years)

Any additional visitors found to be entering the property, beyond the pre-booked guests or fail to comply with the conditions of their rental will be subject to immediate cancellation, forfeiture of all rental and any extra guests will be charged $80 per person per night.

Lastly, although our pool is gorgeous to swim in, we like to let you know in advance that the surrounding pavers are due for some updating. We have deck chairs, out door bean bags and matting, so it doesn’t impact the lounging and swimming vibe, but we like to manage our guest experience right from the beginning, so you can have the most fantastic time.
