Cosy Beach Holiday Home

Encounter Bay is the perfect holiday destination with the beautiful calm bay and it is surrounded by an array of tourist destinations.
A perfect spot to base yourself as you kick back and enjoy your holiday.

Just a 2 minute walk to the beach and the Encounter Bikeway. A short 3 minute walk and you will find yourself at Yilki Store or the Beach House cafe.

We are a pet friendly with a massive fenced backyard

This unique home has a large raked ceiling which makes it a cosy open space. Downstairs there is open kitchen, living, dining space, two enclosed bedrooms and bathroom. Upstairs there is two more open bedrooms.

Really nice interior, clean, cosy, lots of backyard space, ambient lighting. Perfect for beginners of life. Lot's of area for play and recreation. Close to the beach. We loved it!

Fantastic location and excellent facilities. The log fire was a bonus on these winter nights. House is well equipped, neat, clean and has a unique loft feel.Would definitely recommend this property to either couples or families.

Great Group Trip Location

The house was possibly one of the cleanest our group of friends has ever stayed in. There were all the basics we needed and we enjoyed the open plan layout of the house. Great backyard for pets and kids.

Peace at Encounter Bay

Property was very clean & tidy. Lovely big back yard for our fur baby. Cabin was better than the pictures and very close to the beach. Was a wonderful, peaceful stay. Will definitely be back.

Perfect

This property was everything it said and showed in photos. We had 6 adults and one child staying and the property allowed enough space to spread out and also provide plenty of hanging areas for when we had meals etc.

Encounter getaway

Cozy house with plenty of room and a modern feel! Very clean, with everything you could need and a massive grassed backyard for the kids or dog. Not far from the beach and bluff and a stones throw from Victor Harbor and Granite Island. Highly recommend as a place to stay!

Perfect place for a family stay

We had such a lovely time here, it is cozy and feels like you’ve come home. It’s in a great location with easy access to the beach, a lovely large back yard and a nice place just to come and hang out in next to the fire. The games cupboard was great for the kids and the kitchen has everything you need to cook at home. We really enjoyed our time here and the kids are already asking when we can come back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolutely loved inside and back yard the front needs to be more inviting and the cleaners need to check cupboards for dirty dishes but I loved the inside and the hidden play area upstairs was a real hit with the kids great time had by all

Encounters cabin short break

The house is such a cool design, stylish interior with comfy home feels! The backyard is huge so had plenty of space for our dog to run around. Cupboards in kitchen well stocked for cooking requirements, loved the dishwasher! We really enjoyed staying at this property as the esplanade to the beach is literally 1 street away. A couple of call outs to the host to consider for future guests; 1 spare toilet roll for a family of 4 staying 3 nights is not adequate. We also booked this home because it had a fireplace and we are in the middle of winter. The host provided only 2 or 3 pieces of wood for our entire stay and we had to go out and purchase our own wood so we could utilse the fire.

Great stay!

Encounter Cabin is situated in a lovely quiet part of Encounter Bay and an easy walk to the Beach House Cafe and Yilki Store on Franklin Parade, and to the cycling/walking path which you can take to the Bluff, or into VH if you're feeling more energetic! The house is a great space for a relaxing break with a group of friends, or family, and the photos accurately depict the accommodation, which was welcoming on arrival, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking (but the microwave was tricky to use as it's in a low cupboard). TV & Wi-Fi work well. The combustion heater is a great asset during winter, and the complimentary bottle of wine was well-received! It was lovely to be able to take my dogs who enjoyed running around in the large, secure backyard. The outside undercover area is also a great asset. Joshua was a pleasure to deal with, and quick to respond to any questions. Check-in via the key lockbox was easy. Some hooks in the laundry, or by the front door, would be handy to hang coats, hats etc on. I'd certainly like to stay again, and will recommend to friends 😊

Positives: Walking distance to beach. Nice furnishings. Large backs yard for pets/family.Negatives: We stayed on a very hot weekend & there is only one AC split system which is upstairs, not down where main living areas are. Only fan downstairs. We found this insufficient to keep the house cool. Needs another AC downstairs. There were a lot of cobwebs around windows & celing rafters. Shower head and taps are badly rusted and need replacing. Coffee and tea was provided but little supply and no milk or breakfast provisions.
