First, the Pros: Check-in was easy (a bit intimidating entering the 7/11 to pick up the fob-several homeless people were lying on the sidewalk by the entrance). Location very good and view was super-this will change for the worse when the tower being built across the street is complete. Underground secure parking is a plus.
Now the cons: upon entering the unit, 2 light bulbs were out. One in the kitchen and one in the dining area. Then, after flushing the toilet, the water continued to run. I checked the tank and noticed the flapper valve was falling apart. I had to reach in and place the valve back on the opening-had to do this each flush. As our arrival was after 7 pm, no one was available to contact so we had to wait for the next day.
Then we tried the tv. For us who do not use Roku, switching from Roku to Telus tv was a challenge. A simple list of instructions would have been helpful. Finally, we wanted to watch a movie and went to put on the fireplace-no go!. I checked the remote for a battery, but it must have needed replacing.
Next day I had feedback from the Hosts after I had explained what was needed. We went out for the day and when we returned, the flapper valve in the toilet had been replaced along with 1 of the light bulbs. The remote for the fireplace was not working and the feedback given was along the lines of "forgot" . Regular preventative maintenance should take place BEFORE renters arrive, not during or not at all. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
