Welcome to Dos Ocotillos, your bohemian retreat in the hi-desert, minutes from Joshua Tree National Park! Our bright and spacious home is the perfect place to rest after a day at the park or for a quiet weekend getaway. We also welcome longer stays and are equipped for digital nomads or those traveling for work.

Dos Ocotillos is a quick 12-minute drive to North Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park (this entrance is generally less busy, so quicker to get in and out!) and just 5-minutes to downtown 29 Palms.

Situated in a quiet neighborhood, the house sits on a corner lot with no direct neighbors, offering our guest’s privacy. You’ll be comfortable with all the amenities of home, including fast WiFi, modern appliances, new mattresses with soft cotton sheets, plush bath towels, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The spacious, split-level home is a newly remodeled 3 bedroom / 2 bath that sleeps up to 7 people. This is the perfect house for families, small groups of friends, couples traveling together, or to getaway and work remotely! You’ll have over 1,600 square feet of living space, including a sunroom with a dedicated work area, two living rooms, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, there is an outdoor space with lounge furniture, a dining area, BBQ, hammock, and gas fire pit.

The main living/dining area has large picture windows with gorgeous mountain views and, of course, views of our two stunning ocotillos! There is a stylish seating area for hanging out and listening to records, as well as a dining table that seats six.

The second living room has a comfortable couch for watching your favorite shows on the 55” TV with Roku, allowing you to login into your own Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, AppleTV, or Disney+ account.

The sunroom includes a twin daybed for lounging or reading, a small seating area, and a desk for remote working. Yoga mats and a set of small weights are also available for guest use. The daybed can also be used for sleeping. There is no door between the sunroom and living room, but curtains provide privacy.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and full size refrigerator, as well as everything you need for cooking meals at home such as dishes, cups, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. We’ve also got your morning coffee covered - a coffee pot, coffee, cream, and sugar are provided for your stay.

Located on the lower level of the house, the master bedroom has a king size bed, en suite bathroom, small walk in closet, a dresser for storage, room darkening curtains, ceiling fan, and mini-split (ac/heat).

Located on the upper level, the two additional bedrooms each have a queen size bed, dresser for storage, closet space, room darkening curtains, ceiling fan, and mini-split (ac/heat). There is a full bath with a shower/tub located between the two rooms.

For your convenience, each bedroom has a power strip with both USB and USB-C outlets on both sides of the bed.

The fully fenced in backyard has a plenty of space for relaxing and taking in the beautiful desert views and starry night sky, including a dining table that seats six, a natural gas BBQ, a hammock, and a propane fire pit.

The house has steps between the upper and lower level, as well as steps to get to the front door and into the backyard.

A washer and dryer are available for guest use.

There is a mini-split heating and cooling system. AC/ heat units are located in each bedroom, both living rooms and the sunroom. There are also ceiling fans in each room.


<< GUEST ACCESS >>
Guests will have access to the entire house and yard, with the exception of the garage and a locked storage cabinet/drawers in the upstairs hallway. The house is a private single-family home with no shared spaces and no one else will be at the property during your stay.


<< RENTAL AGREEMENT >>
The city of 29 Palms requires we have a rental agreement for each stay. By booking you agree to the house rules and rental agreement which can be viewed prior to booking. You'll find this on step 2 of the booking process, so you are able to review it prior to completing the booking.


<< SECURITY >>
There is a ring doorbell at the front door and three security cameras covering the front yard, side yard, and back yard. All devices actively record video for security purposes.
