Terrible Communication with Property Host
The property host was probably the more difficult people I’ve ever worked with on a rental service app. I had this property booked/fully paid for months. The day of my reservation, I was messaged last minute saying that my reservation was being moved to a new property. She waited until members of my group were physically at the original reserved property trying to drop off luggage. To make matters worse she refused to answer my calls and explain to me why our reservation was being moved to a new location. After an hour of people in my group standing outside of the property, I finally was messaged me saying that she was “upgrading” us to a new location - that she chose for us. Obviously we went to the new location - because where else would we go?? Once we finally checked in to the new property - it was quite obvious that this new house was “cleaned” very quickly as she was trying to place us anywhere she could. There was half eaten food in the fridge, crushed up snacks in one of the beds, and also dirt and hair all over the floors. Also - the trash cans in the garage were full and smelled bad. It wasn’t clean. But the host claimed we were “upgraded” just because the house was bigger. Once I voiced my concerns - I was accused of making false accusations and then was ghosted. I couldn’t get an apology - let alone a small discount. Lastly, she still has not provided me a reason as to why our original reservation got canceled the DAY OF!
