I've lived all over and have made Ridgecrest my home. I was born & raised in Dallas, Texas and moved here to Ridgecrest, like so many others before me, because of ties to the local Navy base. I'd say living in the south has prepared me for this high-desert heat!
I work an odd-hours shift at our local hospital, so please forgive me if I take a little, tiny bit longer than most hosts to get back to you! I promise that you are important to me (:

Although the city is secluded, it's a central point to a lot of really fun things to do! Red Rock is <20 miles, Kennedy Meadows is 1 hour, Kern River is a little more than an hour, Vegas is about 3 hours, Mammoth is about 3.5 hours, LA is about 2.5 hours, and there's even SO much to do within that parameter.

Locally, the condo's location is just as convenient! What I like about this home is it's closeness to shops and restaurants, its thick walls, relaxing atmosphere, and quiet surroundings. I really could go on! I truly hope this condo feels like a home away from home for all my guests.

Initially, this condo was intended for long-term traveling nurses & physicians, and contractors for the base- It's less than 3 minutes to the hospital and less than 5 minutes from base! Later down the road, I decided to make this home available to travelers. I'm now excited to extend my space to those just passing through! I hope pit-stop travelers enjoy it's location just as much.

If you're a foodie, you're in luck! There is a steakhouse, international grill, Filipino restaurant, Chinese restaurant, bar & grill, donut shop, and a breakfast/brunch cafe within 1/2 a mile- a very walkable distance.

If you're a pit-stopper and need to stock up there's a grocery store, dollar general, and a gas station also within a mile. I know these kinds of small conveniences can make a trip even that more enjoyable.
