If you feel like relaxing a bit, the covered back patio and stunning terrace are both furnished for lounging and mingling in the salty air. Not to mention, a full bar area is next to the pool to really get the fun started come sunset! Head inside and you will be greeted by the classic island charm of the tile floors, exposed vaulted ceilings, tasteful decor, and an open layout that will accommodate the whole group. The chef of the group will be in paradise as well with the full kitchen complete with two full fridges, stainless steel appliances, a large island for prepping ingredients, and all of the utensils needed to whip up gourmet meals with ease. The high-speed internet is the cherry on top of this getaway, as everyone can stay connected or get a bit of work done while away! When it comes to hitting the hay each evening, six bedrooms await to assist in drifting off to the sound of the tide. This home is one story, so no one will have trouble accessing all portions of the home with ease.

El Roble de Puntarenas is one of Costa Rica's most convenient beach destinations. The town is situated just 75 kilometers from Juan Santamaria International Airport, so you won't have a long commute when you arrive! While you're exploring Puntarenas downtown, you can find great fresh seafood, have a nice dinner, and take a stroll along the Paseo de Los Turistas. Several companies depart from Puntarenas to do the one-day Tortuga Island cruise, a nice day tour that cruises through the Gulf of Nicoya to Tortuga Island, which has a beautiful white sand beach and clear water. Don't forget to try the famous local ice cream (Slurpee) called Churchill, available express and downtown.

Wonderful home

Great place to stay especially for large family and kids can get their own room. Home is beautiful, pool is very nice. Beach is right out the back gate. Ac in all bedrooms and rooms. House is very open to the outside breeze/air. One of the nicest homes we have ever stayed in. A few things could put the house over the top - had trouble with some of the showers, no basic staples in the kitchen are provided, mattress very firm. But would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Confusing

There is a lot to say about this property. The manager that originally messaged me from vacasa actually never helped us at all. We arrived to a lovely couple and their teenage daughter who live on property as care takers. They were the highlight of our trip. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating throughout our stay. The house itself has a lovely outdoor area with plenty of space for our kids to run around. You can actually walk out onto the beach from the yard but be warned it’s filled with trash. The inside was fine. We didn’t have hot water in some bathrooms and the roof leaked in the poorly equipped kitchen. The actual neighborhood around the house is sketchy and dirty. There are not any good restaurants in the area and all the tours we were taken on by our self-appointed tour guide were over priced and average at best. The beach we went to for surfing was also cluttered with trash and we were warned by a local that our stuff would be stolen if we left it while surfing. Be warned to ask about all the prices ahead of time as everyone was adding on extras for our group. We love Costa Rica but we won’t be back to Puntarenas. It is not the charming pura vida vibe you want while visiting this amazing country.

Relaxing place

My kids and I love this place , the attention from the guard who stays in the property was wonderful then the chef that came was great . The house is well maintained, big house and clean . Lots of space. Can wait to come back again .

Enjoyable until the last day

First we didn't know that there's a couple living on property, no problem. Every morning the guy turns on the sprinkler system around 630am. Well on our check out day the guy does his normal routine and turns sprinklers off about 8am then at 9am my wife and her cousin go out and sit in the chairs under some trees to talk, the guy turns on the sprinklers on again and runs off and my wife and cousin get wet from the sprinklers. Then the guy shuts off the water to the house. I was in the process of getting ready to shower. Now I'm upset, send a message to property manager through WhatsApp and in the meantime my wife says something to the guy about water to the house being off but yet the sprinklers were working. Within 5 minutes the water in the house magically comes back on. I know it was getting close to check out time but I had gotten an extension to noon to check out. My thought was the guy wanted us out of there that's why he got my wife and cousin wet and cut off the water to the house. Another thing, the guy told my 70 year old mother-in-law that she needed to take to the big garbage collection container out to the street the next morning. We did our part by cleaning up and putting the trash in their outside container. I will not use this place again nor will I recommend this place to any of my friends.

Incredible location and wonderful vacation home

I have traveled extensively with my family but this was our first trip to Costa Rica. This vacation home exceeded our expectations in every way. I would recommend this centrally-located west coast home for any family planning a Costa Rica vacation.
