THE STUDIO
Our 25 sqm studio is located at the heart of Montmartre, the artists neighbourhood, at only 150 mts from 'Place du Tertre' (the painter's square) and the 'Sacre Coeur', the great Basilica.
It sits in Rue Berthe, a quiet street, on the third and last floor without lift, facing north and south, with full view over the roofs and the Basilica bell tower. Very illuminated (3 windows), it has been totally renewed and is furnished with contemporary furniture. It features: a full bathroom equipped with shower and towels dryer. A living room furnished with a 160cm convertible sofa and equipped with a 90cm LCD TV, a home theater CD/DVD/MP3 and a bookcase. A dining room furnished with a variable table, chairs and a large wardrobe with mirror for arranging your belongings. A kitchen equipped with vitroceramic cooktop, oven, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and iron. High speed wifi internet connection and full heating all over the apartment.
This studio is ideal for couples and those who wish to have a peaceful and a romantic stay.
MONTMARTRE
Famous for its paintings and movies features, Montmartre is the most picturesque and romantic place in the city. The impressive 'Sacre Coeur' Basilica is sure to take your breeth away and in 'Place du Tertre' you`ll still find poetry, several artists and typicall restaurants on a promontory overlooking all of Paris.
In this spot, an intense period of artistic activity took hold. Movements from Impressionism to Cubism, from Fauvism to Surrealism and such greats as Renoir, Picasso, Braque, Dufy, Cézanne, Manet, and Toulouse-Lautrec painted here and kept studios in the adjacent streets as the 'Bateau Lavoir', Picasso's studio is just around the corner. Walking around the quarter, you will discover that the 'old-Paris' feeling is still here
Two blocks far from the apartment is the Abesses Square, with its trendy boutiques, cafés, bistrots, theaters, galleries and lively streets as Rue des Trois Fréres and Rue Lepic, where internationally renowned 'Amelie Poulain' movie was shot. At the rue Lepic market you will find all that your heart desires in gastronomic fare and quick eats. Down the street, is the Pigalle area, home to a nightlife of pubs, disco's and cabarets as the famous 'Moulin Rouge'. From there it is an easy walk to the Opera and the Galeries Lafayette, and all the way long to Seine River and the Champs Elyssés.
The apartment has easy access to transportation, just two blocks from Metro Abbesses and all the touristic spots in the city.
