The village boasts an ancient church, built in honour of St Mark, as well as excellent walking and cycle paths, and a variety of rare species of birds, making it a haven for twitchers! Situated at the mouth of the River Parrett and Bridgewater Bay, the popular seaside resort of Burnham-on-Sea is just 4 miles away. With views across to distant Wales, and 7 miles of sandy beaches and dunes, the town also boasts Britain's shortest pier and some of the most distinctive lighthouses around, as well as the marble carvings of Sir Christopher Wren in its parish church.
