Summary:
Ground Floor, The Old Vicarage is a lovingly restored Victorian Vicarage featuring many original features. This three-bedroom apartment sleeps up to eight guests so it is perfect for families or groups of friends. The apartment is in a great central location, with Scarborough South Bay just a 20-minute walk away, whilst the town centre is only 10 minutes away on foot. The Old Vicarage welcomes up to two well behaved dogs per reservation.
The Space:
The open-plan living, kitchen and dining room at The Old Vicarage is a great space for socialising with your loved ones. It is well-fitted with two spacious and comfy sofas, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, a dining table in the window and a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances. With its large bay window, the room has natural light flooding the room.
The first bedroom is a relaxing space with a double bed, a neutral colour scheme, and plenty of storage for your belongings. The second bedroom boasts a king-size bed and offers excellent storage space too. The third bedroom is a twin formed with two double beds and a flat-screen TV.
The apartment has a bathroom with a modern interior. It features all of the essential amenities you need, including a walk-in shower, a wash basin, and a WC. You will also find a separate WC in The Old Vicarage.
Large and private, the garden is fully enclosed for your peace of mind. It contains a barbeque area and is well presented with a decorative fence.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Parking scratch cards will be provided for your stay, allowing free on-street parking on surrounding streets.
Please note that the apartment is set over two levels, with seven steps splitting the lower and upper floors.
The Neighborhood:
Located in the seaside town of Scarborough, Ground Floor, The Old Vicrage is a short walk to all of the attractions. Packed with seaside charm, you’ll find plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes to discover as well as arcades and ice cream parlours.
There are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe! Cayton Bay is the quietest of the three and boasts a sweeping bay with a rural feel. Lastly Cornelian Bay is the remotest and hardest to get to but it’s a hidden gem and often empty.
Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000 year history. If it’s outdoor fun you’re looking for, The Open Air Theatre is a short walk from the house where you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. There is also the Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park nearby.
Getting Around:
Ground Floor, The Old Vicarage is within walking distance of Scarborough town centre and within 1 hours’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Filey.
Scarborough Train Station is a short 10 minute walk away and has routes to Filey, Bridlington, Liverpool and Sheffield.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Scarborough. Hop on the 12 route and you can visit neighbouring seaside spots of Filey and Bridlington. The X93 travels through to Middlesbrough with drop offs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.
