Located 1 km from Ocotal Beach and 3 km to Coco, this private vacation complex with 24/7 security offers many activities and tours nearby. Start your day by enjoying a cup of Costa Rican coffee (french press and grinder on site) on the balcony. Make your way to the pool with the folding chairs provided to read a book, get some sun, swim or chat with other Sweet Dream guests,. Get your steps in with a 10 minute walk (2 minute golf cart ride) to the black sands of Ocotal Beach. Beach mats, towels and beach umbrellas are provided. Walk, taxi or golf cart your way to the nearby town of Coco which boasts many restaurants, bars, grocery stores and retail shops. Buy fresh mahi-mahi, shrimp or red snapper and baked goods most hi-season weeks from the visiting fish monger and bakers truck that stop by.

AWESOME RELAXING STAY

What a great experience. The condo was bright, clean, and spacious. For a studio, it 'felt' bigger, stocked full of everything you might need on a visit to Costa Rica. Beach chairs and towels, functioning air-conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen with all the accessories my own kitchen has. I'm a bit finicky when it comes to a comfortable bed and to my surprise, it was super comfortable; I slept amazing. The grounds were beautiful. Clearly, the gardener had a great deal of pride in his work. The landscaping and gardens were amazing, full of colour and lush greenery, home to a plethora of colourful birds, butterflies and the odd iguana. Made for a lovely place to sit with my morning coffee. As far as location goes, it was a bit of a jaunt into Coco, so I rented a golf cart. I know people walk to and from town, but in my opinion the cart was the way to go. I absolutely loved Ocotal Beach, so I spent most of my time there. As a solo female traveller, safety is a constant concern. The property had 24 hour security, which gave me peace of mind. Boston Steve the property manager was always available if I had any questions about places to go or other specifics. Lastly, the host Lori, was fantastic. She was so accommodating. Although I really didn't have anything I needed, the couple of questions I did have, I received a quick response. I could tell it was important to her that I was comfortable in her place. Will definitely rebook for future stays.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I fell in love with Costa Rica on a recent trip and decided to buy and create a sweet little environment with some comforts that I hope you enjoy. Why Sweet Dreams? Because it's a lush little oasis with a casual and relaxed atmosphere that attracts many fellow Canadian snowbirds, some US and Costa Rican visitors. It's well managed, clean and central to everywhere I like to go. I don't have to get out of my pajamas to have my morning coffee on the balcony. I feel totally safe on the property and when I go out on my own during the day, taking my golf cart into Coco for lunch, doing a little shopping, or heading to the beach, I am in my happy place. I do bring a few new things each time I come down so if you think I am missing something, please let me know.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Costa Rica is a developing country so some things will be a little different but half the fun is in getting to know locals, try new foods and explore new adventures while visiting one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. You'll see interesting birds, lots of cows , dogs and horses and you might even hear the howler monkeys in the early morning. You can go deep sea fishing, zip-lining, horse-back riding, tour coffee plantations and so much more. I've learned that more space doesn't equal more happiness while I'm away so the compact size works beautifully for me. I have amazing Costa Rican coffee from my French press, a good book and lots of sunshine...life is good!
