Hello! Thank you for your interest! My name is Jose Gomez & it would be a pleasure to host your stay! I like to consider myself a very responsive host, any questions you have I respond within minutes! I want to accomodate all of your needs for your stay so if there is anything you require for your stay please let me know and I will make sure to have it for you. Also, I am very flexible with the check in & check out times; I know 9am is early so I am flexible with a 10am check out time. Check in time I am also flexible with 3pm! I also have an early check in & late check out option, feel free to ask about that! I will make sure your stay will be worthwhile if you book with me! I would be happy to host!

This is the message we sent the owner with NO response: Hi Juan. We wanted to let you know we just checked into your property and we are very disappointed. The cat/animal odor in your property is overwhelming. In fact, I think we are going to get a hotel room it’s so bad. Sadly, I think you know this due to the odor eliminator bags hanging all over the apartment. The sheets do not appear to be washed, nor do they smell like they have been washed. The refrigerator handle is broken and the lighting is minimal. Just overall disappointment…and false advertising on your part. We are very uncomfortable staying here. This property is extremely falsely advertised. We understand we have cost you a weekend, but please consider giving us some sort of refund as we are getting another place to stay. Thank you.

Communication is terrible.

Have been waiting for two weeks post stay for a response from the owner before leaving a review. Still waiting for refund on deposit. Asked the owner the day of arrival when we would receive instructions on entering the property. He finally replied that he normally sends out two days prior. Had to get VRBO involved to get into the property. Immediately after entering the property we informed him of a couple items that were broken. The toilet seat and fridge handle. Didn’t want to take the blame. He responded within minutes and asked for photos. We haven’t heard from him/them since. Place was convenient and close to old town but needs new management.

Bed Bugs

I'm giving feedback here as an opportunity to improve this listing: There was an old smell in the apartment - not appealing. The bed had bedbugs in the bed and/or sheets, I got significantly bitten all over. That kind of uncleanliness and lack of cleaning detail is just absolutely unacceptable. The toilet seat was broken, the freezer handle also broken, light bulbs were missing on the lamps so lack of light at night, the AC didn't work or turn on, lack of air flow in the bedroom. When the host sent instructions on the keypad code, the door literally had 4 keypads on it - so that was confusing. I won't stay here ever again.

Comfortable apartment, poor communications

Apartment is conveniently located near Old Town Scottsdale. It is in an older complex, in decent repair. We were comfortable there. Unfortunately, we received no advance communications about arriving and finally the agent responded, just a couple of hours before check-in. We also received no instructions prior to check out. The agent responded to our text the night before, telling us when check-out time was. No other instructions. The tub/shower is slippery and has no mat or surface strips, and nothing on the walls to grab for steadying. It seems hazardous as is.
