Day’s Mountain Retreat offers vintage charm with its ping pong table, basement TV Lounge, board games and the classic wood burning fireplace, quintessential to any stay in the mountains. Days has Dish TV and also offers a newly renovated kitchen, updated bathrooms, and Verizon Gateway so you can stay connected while on the mountain. Enjoy meals on the wrap around deck while watching the deer graze or from the dining table in the "Deer Feeding Zone" ( corn provided!) With two living areas, there is plenty of room for all. The location can’t be beat if you like to be surrounded by nature but still close enough to run to town for fun outings. Actually, close enough to several towns with Boone just 15 miles away, Blowing Rock 20 miles away, and West Jefferson less than 30 miles from the house. Plus, with an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway less than 10 miles from the property, you truly are centrally located to explore as much as you’d like. Want to avoid car rides, you can stay in and enjoy the 20 plus miles of hikes within the community, beautiful Laurel Creek, Holly Falls (Yes, there is an actual waterfall!), one of the three mountain lakes in Powder Horn, or some of the amenities (Disk golf, game room, exercise room, tennis, basketball, pickleball and more!)

This classic 3-bed, 3-bath cabin is ideally located just outside of Boone and invites you to unplug and relax with family. Begin each day with a piping hot cup of coffee in your vacation rental as you feed the many deer in your very own deer feeding zone. After fueling up, explore Blowing Rock, or simply chill out by the community pool! In winter months, enjoy easy access to Appalachian Ski Mountain, Sugar Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Ski Resort as you tackle some black diamonds.

Our family took a short weekend trip to Powder Horn Mountain and wanted something in the woods close to Boone. This cabin was exactly what we expected. Nice location in the middle of the community and had a great "cabin in the woods" feel. Owner was very responsive and the cabin was ready to go when we arrived.

This was a very nice cabin in a beautiful area! We loved the room downstairs with the ping pong table. They made it feel very homey. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
