Lovely location, so many problems
The apartment and location were very nice, but we had a LOT of problems with the property manager, including several hours of delay in getting into the apartment after along flight, and another guest showing up INSIDE our apartment, having mistakenly been booked while we were still there for several more days!
Be aware that all communications will be in Spanish. We used Google translate and managed that part okay.
The check-in procedures were not sent to us until after we had taken off from our home airport. It would be very helpful to receive them prior to that, as you need to download an app in order to get into the elevator, which opens right into the apartment.
We had intended to buy SIM cards in Mexico, but had to use our internet download the app. We did that and sent the verification code through the app to our contact, Erwin, at the number that was given in the check in instructions.
The app still wouldn't work in the elevator. [It turned out Erwin needed to verify the number through the app and had not done so.
I contacted the company through VRBO and he finally responded and told me that I should contact him through a different number [which hadn't been provided to us previously] via WhatsApp. We didn't have WhatsApp, so we downloaded that too.
We sent the code via the first app to this new number for him to approve it, which didn't work. I sent him a screenshot of the error through WhatsApp. He told me I needed to download the app [that I had just sent hi
