The Owl & Moon is one side of a new construction duplex. The theme was inspired by the phases of the moon and my own oil painting in the plum and moss owl room. We're very excited to have you stay!

Surprise Birthday for my wife. We all enjoyed staying at your house. Was clean and furnished nicely. Close to many things to do in Waco Tx.

Cute and Comfortable

A bit of a mixed review… let’s start with the Good! The place is adorable. Decorated beautifully, and is welcoming and comfortable, with added touches like throw blankets. The primary bedroom is romantic with a TV in the room. Kitchen had all of the necessities for cooking. We didn’t use the upstairs area at all, but checked it out, and it’s very nice space for a family. Now for the “could have been better” feedback: Location: Be aware that it’s a few blocks from a homeless resource center. We didn’t have any issues, but did see several homeless walking by with their baskets. It is a duplex, and the walls in between aren’t sound proof. Our neighbors were up until 4am one night, making it difficult to sleep. Bring ear plugs or a sound machine. Check In: The cleaning crew was running behind. Check in time was supposed to be at 4pm. We weren’t able to get into the unit until after 6:30pm. Amenities: There was only one roll of toilet paper in the primary bath with no extra rolls available anywhere. Only one pod of coffee was left for us, with no extras available. Check out: No check out instructions were left for us, either on app or inside unit. Followed typical requests for VRBO. Misc: Would be nice to have some tips on using TV/Roku. We struggled to figure it out. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Owner provided a small $40 credit for the coffee situation. A few improvements are needed, but seems to be a new place. Should work itself out over time.

Perfect Stay

This house was perfect for us. Close to everything we needed. Didn't feel unsafe at all. The house was very neat and clean with tv's to watch shows and toys for the kids to play with. Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This is a new construction duplex in a quiet suburban neighborhood. The location is right downtown where things like the Silos and The Dr.Pepper Museum are about a mile away but tucked away in a family neighborhood. There is a convenience store and gas station on the corner and you can even walk to the downtown skate park from here!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

My property was built for this. I am a realtor but have done several flip projects as well and this new construction duplex was designed by me to make people feel comfortable and inspired. I furnished everything as well and it took a lot of work! I even brought my baby with me to get it all done. The idea behind "Mystical Stays," is to go all out on some really cool themes that set themselves apart from your typical "stay," by really bringing the life of the theme into the property. "The Owl & Moon" was designed to inspire others about the phases of the moon, and the symbolism of the owl: wisdom, prosperity and fortune. I have stocked the kitchen with all new items, pots, pans, a Nespresso machine, hot tea kettle, tons of bake ware, dishes, and all things you would need to prepare a meal. I also added a cool spot for an Instagram photo equipped with artisan masks and a very bright and vibrant moon wall! We hope you enjoy.
