I rated this property low simply because of the host and their responses to me with issues at the unit.
First let me say upon my arrival I was impressed and was happy. Then later that night we needed to change the trash, there were no outside trash cans available (later found out the guests in the unit next to us had put them in their private patio) anyhow, this led to us having to keep trash in the house with a 1 year old baby and a dog. There is a horrible gap under the front door allowing air, bugs and even small lizards in, (weather stripping would fix this). Because we were there for several days I went and bought almost $300 in groceries and we woke up the next day to everything that was in the crispers was frozen and now could not be used, it was close to $ 50 of produce by the time I added it all up. The other main issue we had was about the second day of all of us showering the shower drain started backing up and we would have to shower in standing water. This could have been all fixed with an “instruction” on how to care for the drain.
When I reached out to the host I was blamed for all of the issues and it was even suggested that we had broke the shower. I really was not looking for a refund or any compensation, as a former Hilton VP I was simply letting them know the issues so that they could make them right for the next guests. I even went on to tell the host how nice the property was. Her response was, you obviously did not read my instructions. There were no instructions (check for yourself). Overall yes this property was beautiful and a great size as well as allowing pets but when a customer is spoken to the way I was,,,I will not be staying there again and I travel to that area for work at least once a month.
Again, good customer service goes a long way.
