I stayed with my mom and my adult son over Memorial Weekend. It's about 20 minutes from Gatlinburg by car. The unit itself is noisy, you can hear everything from every room including the people upstairs. The unit was fairly clean, but the appliances and the cooking utensils need a deep cleaning. There were a lot of bugs but they were dead, the foliage is WAY overgrown, could not use the patio as it is too overgrown which brings the bugs and spiderwebs, and very dusty, and dirty. it rained while we were there and the pathway to the front door is so overgrown you get wet from the plants just walking the path. The size is great, has 2 rooms with a total of 3 beds and 2 full baths. Comes with towels and a few kitchen amenities, but those may be leftovers from other guests? There was no extra toilet paper just the already used rolls on the holder, several light bulbs were out but no replacements and the smoke detectors are expired so where were the batteries, we had to take those out. The coffee maker is an old pot/drip machine so you will have to bring or buy grounds. I didn't totally hate the place it was decent, nice to come back to after walking and sightseeing all day, a few upgrades would be nice. Would I go back - probably not. There are so many other places to stay especially for the price per night I paid. Take my review with a grain of salt, it may work for you and your family.
