Huntington Beach is world-famous as "Surf City", from the 1960s Jan and Dean surf rock song of the same name, and much of surfing culture started and continues to evolve there, from surfing styles to surfing apparel companies that started there. Huntington Beach is also mentioned by name in the Beach Boys song "Surfin' Safari", where "at Huntington and Malibu they're shooting the pier".
The year-round temperature averages 67 degrees F, and good weather can be every month. However, the months of January to March can be rainy.

Surf City USA's nightlife is as varied as its locales. Downtown Huntington Beach is the most popular nightlife location, with live entertainment, dancing, specialty cocktails, and even adult milkshakes at its diverse restaurants, bars, and wine bars. Ride a mechanical bull at Black Bull Chop House or dance the night away in Hurricanes. A number of businesses offer live entertainment, trivia nights, and comedy nights throughout the week.

For an eclectic evening, head to Sunset Beach for places such as Turc's Cocktails, Don the Beachcomber and its tiki-bar atmosphere, or Brix Brews, with its wide range of wine and beer on tap. Huntington Beach is located at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and the Pacific Coast Highway, just under 14 miles directly south of Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. Interstate 405, which links John Wayne, Long Beach, and Los Angeles International Airports, intersects Beach Boulevard about 6 miles north of Huntington Beach.
Parking: The best place to park is the city parking located right at the beach. The entrance is just north of Highway 1 (the PCH) and the main street. You will conveniently be able to unload water coolers, surf boards and the kids all safely without having to cross streets. It saves on lifting and lugging as well. You can wash off and change clothes right next to the parking at the water showers and washrooms. Washrooms are adequate but small. They also get wet and sandy during the day.
If you're on a budget, you can usually find some parking in nearby neighborhoods. But watch for street signs that may indicate parking is only allowed at certain times or days. This may require a little more walking if you're headed to the beach, but it's not too much.

By train
Amtrak's [6] Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink's [7] Orange County Line serve Santa Ana, Tustin, Buena Park, and Irvine.

OCTA Route 1* North and South runs along the Pacific Coast Highway, servicing all of Orange County's beaches. Routes 33 and 35 South directly run into Huntington State Beach. Routes 21** South, 70* West and 72 West end at Sunset Beach. Routes 25 South, 29 South, 172 West and 173** South all serve Huntington's downtown and its beach.
*For route 1 North make sure that the banner reads Cal State Long Beach and not Newport Transportation Center. For route 70 make sure it reads Sunset Beach and not Goldenwest Transportation Center.
**No service on weekends.

1. Absolutely no smoking of any kind in the house - The property is smoke free, and therefore any kind of smoking is not allowed inside the house nor on the patio.
2. No loud noise, music or parties - THIS IS A FAMILY NEIGHBORHOOD AND IT IS CLOSE TO OUR NEIGHBORS. Be considerate of the neighborhood and your/our neighbor’s right to the quiet enjoyment of their home and property, especially after 10 p.m. WANT TO PARTY? THIS IS NOT THE HOUSE FOR YOU.
3. Respect our neighbors - be friendly, courteous ,and treat your/our neighbors like you want to be treated. REFRAIN FROM FOUL LANGUAGE OUTSIDE THE HOME .
4. Please report damages immediately
5. Take out trash on trash day
6. Enjoy your stay! This just might be the most important rule ;-)

This is a completely newly updated home, with new furniture and we want to host guests that can take care of it and keep it in excellent condition until the owners return.

No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible.
-Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 11am
-Primary renter must be over the age of 25, have a fully verified profile and previous positive reviews inside Airbnb.
-Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in.
-This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
-Maintenance schedule: we are unable to offer refunds or credits for inconveniences due to scheduling and maintenance done during your stay. We also request that our maintenance teams are not turned away if they should overlap your stay. Such instances can result in a $100 penalty as we will still incur a 'show up' charge, even if no work is performed.
-Absolutely no parties or loud music.
-This is a NON-SMOKING property.

Pet Policy:
-One adult dog up to 50lbs allowed. Cats are not allowed anytime.
-Dog must be house and potty trained and cannot be left alone or on furniture.
