The cabin itself was gorgeous, as was the mountainous views. The cabin is advertised for “sleeps 10” and that is accurate, however there were only 6 towels, no wash cloths, and minimal linens. We needed a pot holder to get food out of the oven and didn’t know there weren’t any until we went to pull the food out. We managed to get the stuff out with the grill tongs. There was only 1 dish rag & no dish towels. We needed access to cleaning stuff, such as a broom, but there was nothing. Even to cook with, there wasn’t much. There were plenty of pots, but only 2 tiny pans, which made cooking for 10 people challenging. I ended up going and buying a few things, because I would’ve been calling the office all weekend because of the things we were continuously finding that we needed. The cabin was clean-ish. The more I looked around the more I realized it wasn’t as clean as I thought. Such as piles of dead bugs in some corners, surrounded by a TON of dust bunnies. Also, I should have checked the beds before sleeping in them, but I didn’t. As I stripped the bed before checking out, I found 2 significantly sized old stains that looked like blood.
Having access to a closet or 2 would have been very helpful for the ones who didn’t have a bedroom and slept on the pullout couches, but every single closet other than the bedroom ones were not accessible.
Overall, we truly enjoyed the weekend, the views were priceless, but the cabin could use a few things to make guests experience better.
