Casa La Paloma is a cute beach house with a pool surrounded by the forest and a large private garden in the gated community of Palm Beach Estates. Casa La Paloma is only a short five minute walk to Playa Grande beach which is renowned for its soft, white sand and surf which is great for both beginners and experienced surfers. The neighborhood has a market, 4 restaurants and bars and a surf shop. It is also a short walk from Tamarindo.

This beach house is spacious and well laid out. It has a full kitchen, large rooms and a covered patio with a table and chairs for outdoor dining. The pool is larger than many in the area and it is nestled in a private tropical garden. The neighborhood of Palm Beach Estates sits between two national parks which makes for great wildlife sightings. Playa Grande Beach is in the Marino Las Baulas National Park and it is a nesting beach for three types of sea turtles. The Tamarindo Estuary, on the other side of the neighborhood, is the largest mangrove estuary in Central America. Casa La Paloma is the perfect home for a peaceful vacation in a natural setting.

Great house, great neighborhood!

We loved staying La Paloma for our family vacation in December! We especially loved the comfortable king sized beds in both rooms, the large outdoor space around the house, and the awesome pool! We appreciated the WiFi and air conditioning too. The neighborhood this house is in was great! We enjoyed shopping at the nearby market, renting boogie boards from the surf shop, and dining at one of the restaurants in the neighborhood all within walking distance. We also enjoyed the close proximity of the house to the beach which was just a short walk. The property manager was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our first trip to Costa Rica!

Perfect Private Getaway…..

Our stay at Casa La Paloma was fantastic. The property is enclosed and private, with beautiful fruit trees and lush vegetation. The pictures honestly do not accurately capture the comfort of the house and pool area. It’s not only a great place to hang out and relax (inside or out), it’s a super convenient location. You can walk to the beach and several restaurants. It’s right around the corner from the Palm Beach Market and Malinches Cafe which has great food, drinks and basic necessities. We looked forward to hearing the howler monkeys at dawn, watching colorful birds and spotting an occasional iguana. While we didn’t cook much, the house is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Dan is a perfect host - always responsive and offers a wealth of information about the area. Thanks for a great stay - We look forward to returning!

Casa La Paloma

We are pleased with the excellent customer service and assistance provided to us by the property manager Dan. He's also been very patient waiting for us till midnight since our flight was delayed. The property itself is nice and cozy. It's very private and quet. There are a pool surrounded by trees in front of the house. In the backyard, you can enjoy a hammock, cook meat in the barbecue and eat it at the wooden table. The house has everything we needed for a short comfortable stay. We have only been missing a kettle since a cup of morning tea is our routine. In our opinion, the bathroom floor needs some upgrades. We recommend taking a flashlight on a trip there since there was a power outage twice in the area. The second time it has lasted for 1,5 hours late at night. The nearest grocery store requires a 35 - 40 minutes ride. There are also three or four restaurants for local cuisine lovers. We highly recommend staying at this property if you are looking for a relaxing, tranquil vacation spot.

A Tropical piece of heaven

When we came to Playa Grande Beach House it was everything that I could have hoped for and more. The property and outside garden were in the process of being renovated and looked beautiful. We were a 5 minute walk away from the most exceptional coastline, uncrowded and full of Pacific waves. For such a quiet place, there were multiple venues to grab a bite to eat and a little mini-market a few minutes away. As the property was in transition it may have required a bit more of a deep clean but the property manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Please note there is no washer or drier with this property which I didn't properly check within the utilities. However, the manager is more than happy to arrange a laundry service at the local market for visitors. I would come back here again. It was a blissful retreat.
