1 GB WiFi, 4 SmartTV, 2 kitchens, 3 refrigerators, 6 kayaks, 4 bikes, north facing screened porch for cool river views, south facing sun porch to warm up…
Located on the best street in Port Richey! Large yard, with lush tropical growth and stands of bamboo. Situated at the widest part of the river, not on a narrow canal. It feels more like a bay than a river. 3/4 acre corner lot gives more space from neighbors. No annoying HOA restrictions, park your small RV or leave your boat trailer on site.
Safe, laid-back historic neighborhood. This has been a special spot for at least a thousand years—there is a Native American temple mound just down the street. Johnny and June Cash had a home on the street as well. You’ll likely see more golf carts than cars. Close to Hwy 19 but feels world’s away….
Fish off the dock or get on the water--Gulf of Mexico is a short 1/3 mile away. Boat rentals nearby or bring your boat. Kayaks on site—Sea kayak or paddleboard to sandy Durney Key just offshore, en route look for dolphin, manatee, snook, snapper, redfish, trout, sheepshead, stingray, sea turtle, and big schools of mullet and baitfish. Hop in the water and snorkel around Durney Key or near the historic stilt houses just offshore.
Play pickelball, soccer, volleyball, badminton and basketball on the court in the backyard. Practice your golfing short game with a couple putters and putting green. There's also a disc golf basket, cornhole (bean bag toss game), rebound net for soccer, and ping-pong on site. Fun to be had by all!
The house itself is a very well-maintained single level home with a unique “L” layout: the main house is two bedrooms (one room with king bed, the other room with a queen and a twin) that share a bathroom. The master suite is the offshoot to the East of main house, they are joined at the sunroom in rear of house.
Main house has nice original hardwood floors, central heat and A/C, fans in bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room.
There are two long couches in the living room, one is a queen-sized pull-out if you need more sleeping space. There is also a comfy recliner and an 55" HDTV. 1 GB Wifi throughout home.
A classic Florida screened-in front porch overlooks the river. The sun deck in back is covered by sun sails and has a grill waiting to be used…
The dining room table will seat up to 9, the well-equipped kitchen will seat two more at the breakfast bar. There’s filtered water for drinking, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, electric hot water pot, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc…everything you need!
Laundry is located in the sunroom along with another small bathroom with shower.
Off the sunroom (or via a separate entrance from the carport if you'd prefer), is the large master bedroom suite (mother-in-law unit). A private area with its own bathroom, another full kitchen with sink, stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, pots and pans, dishes and utensils.
There is a Queen sized bed here and also two twin beds, massage table, and comfy chair to gaze out the large picture window at the greenery and river. A 50” Roku smart tv comes preloaded with Netflix, Prime, Hulu, YouTube TV etc.
Many happening restaurants nearby—Whiskey Joe's, Hooters, Gil Dawgs, Whiskey River, Catches....these are all very close by boat, walking, bike (four available on site) or car. Within 5 mins drive there is a Wal-Mart Supercenter, a couple Publix supermarkets, Winn-Dixie, Chipolte, Panera, BBQ, steak houses, Italian, Thai food, and a plethora of fast-food restaurants. House is within a mile of Hwy 19 yet feels worlds away.
Note, if you need a pool or to sleep more people, consider Don's wonderful yellow house down the street--its on vrbo.
