The Long barn is an 18th century barn conversion set in the grounds of the owners Farmhouse and surrounded by open farmland. With stunning uninterrupted views from its private terrace it is the perfect place to relax and unwind and discover a real slice of 'old Cornwall'. It is the perfect haven for walkers and nature lovers, but is also within easy distance to St Ives, Marazion, Penzance and Porthleven for when guests want somewhere a little more lively, making it perfect for both couples and families.
Situated just outside the Village of St Erth a mile down a single track country lane, the property is just 5 miles from St Ives and 4 miles from Marazion. It is just a few minutes drive from St Erth station where you can use the park and ride to access the St Ives Bay line and take what is considered to be one of the most scenic train journeys in the country into St Ives. There are are many other small towns within easy driving distance and an absolute wealth of beaches, scenic walks and amazing restaurants easily accessible.
Accommodation:
With a stylish and welcoming interior the property is incredibly spacious. It has a kitchen diner with a large utility/boot room off it. It also has two bedrooms both with 6ft zip link beds allowing the rooms to be made up as a twin or with a superking bed at your request. The newly fitted bathroom has bath with large separate shower. There is a light and airy living room with wood burner and patio doors leading onto the terrace where you can sit, take in the view and watch the sun set in the evening. As there is no light pollution at the property, the night skies are breath taking and blankets are provided for those guests wanting to sit outside and do some star gazing.
Exterior: Guests have use of their own terrace with patio furniture and a bbq. The rest of the grounds are not for guests use.
Facilities and services:
The property has central heating, a wood burner with one basket of logs provided. The kitchen has electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A hairdryer is provided in the bedrooms.
Miscellaneous:
Bed linen and towels are provided but guests need to bring their own beach towels. No smoking. There is parking for two car’s only and as the property is on a county lane there is no further off road parking available. Due to lack of space we are unable to accommodate any requests from guests wishing to park more cars at the property.
