Conversion de grange, Stithians, Cornwall

La laiterie est une charmante conversion de grange classée de grade 2 attenante à la ferme et a été récemment convertie (par les propriétaires actuels) de deux granges, qui étaient auparavant une salle de traite et une porcherie. Il a un salon / salle à manger lumineux avec un plafond voûté, un poêle à bois confortable et des portes françaises s'ouvrant sur la cour et le jardin; deux chambres doubles, deux salles de bains et une cuisine moderne entièrement équipée. Il est de style contemporain et a été décoré d'œuvres d'art locales. Le Dairy possède sa propre allée avec parking pour deux voitures et nous accueillons les chiens bien élevés.
Situé dans un endroit tranquille, The Dairy donne sur la cour et le jardin avec table et chaises de patio et un barbecue. Le jardin est en terrasse sur trois niveaux avec pelouse et idéal pour les jeux de jardin. Il a une balançoire et un trampoline englouti. Le Dairy faisait autrefois partie du domaine de Tretheague avec son manoir géorgien classé Grade II * construit en 1744 par l'architecte Thomas Edwards. Tous les anciens bâtiments de ferme sont maintenant restaurés et complètent ce charmant petit hameau: Tretheague Barton, The Farmhouse, The Cottage, The Dairy, The Piggery, The Granary and The Smithy. Le Dairy se trouve à la lisière du village de Stithians et est parfaitement situé pour explorer les côtes nord et sud de Cornwall. Truro, Helford Passage, Helston, Redruth et Camborne Mining Heritage, Newquay, St Ives, Padstow, le Lézard, Lands End, Penzance, Mousehole sont tous à portée de main.

Idyllic and cozy holiday home

The converted barn has a lot of charm and is located nearby a small village that is well suited for trips to the south and central Cornwall. Jane is truly a friendly, attentive and generous host.

Beautiful Cosy Dairy

We needed a last minute stay and what a find 😃 stunning old dairy barn stocked with everything you could possibly need. So comfortable, we felt at home as soon as we walked in. We highly recommend.

Delightful Cottage in a beautiful location

Simply the loveliest place we’ve stayed! Perfect for two couples travelling together. Thank you Jane for the very welcoming cream tea and beautiful flowers on the table - such a warm and friendly sight to greet us! We had a wonderful stay touring around Cornwall and hope to be back one day.

Fantastic week

Ideal holiday home, separate sleeping and toilet facilities for both couples, with kitchen and lounge in the middle. Accommodation exactly as described, owners very friendly and helpful, great base for visiting all of SW Cornwall Peaceful and relaxing, one of the best holidays we've ever had

The Dairy is exceptionally well equipped and extremely comfortable. We felt completely at home each evening as we returned from exploring this wonderful part of the country. We would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The Dairy at Stithians

A wonderful place to stay to explore and take in the wonders of Cornwall. Hosts Jane and Gwyn were very welcoming and their beautiful dog Nala made a great companion for walks through the adjoining fields.The house is charming and very well presented, living up to our expectations, then some. The property is highly recommended for four people wishing to be located in the heart of the best parts of Cornwall.

Comfort and birdsong.

A delightful, cosy barn conversion next to the owner’s beautiful granite farmhouse was our shelter for the week. Extremely comfy beds, a cosy wood burner, soft sofas and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The grounds were full of wild primroses and nesting birds. A Hidden Gem

This beautiful Old Dairy exceeded our expectations it was just stunning. The Welcome Hamper and Cream Teas was a lovely touch and was enjoyed by all. We instantly felt at home would have loved to have used Wood burner but if was not cold enough we will have to go back!! The setting was delightful very quite which we liked after a day out exploring Cornwall. Also had good speed internet connection which we always look for when on holiday.

Perfect!

We had a lovely stay in the dairy last week, myself, my mum and Chester the dog. The friendly owners made us feel very welcome and left us a lovely hamper and essentials which we really appreciated after a long drive. The accommodation is beautifully furnished and very cosy and comfortable....we thought the location was ideal for visiting most parts of Cornwall with lots of places within easy reach. We really enjoyed our holiday and can highly recommend a stay here..we would not hestitate to return to the dairy on future visits to Cornwall.

Outstanding Cornish barn conversion

We have stayed in many cottages/barn conversions in Cornwall but this has to be the BEST! We took my Mum and Dad who never know where they're staying, its always a surprise this place almost reduced my Mum to tears.It has been converted to a very high standard, everything has been thought off to make your stay perfect, the grocery hamper was excellent, fresh flowers in every room. The owners Jane and Gwyn are friendly and always happy to help if needed. If in the area again we would have absolutely no hesitation in booking again.

5 star holiday cottage

The Dairy truly is a 5 star holiday cottage and fully deserves all the 5 star reviews that it has. The Dairy is a large, well equipped and comfortable cottage, and was perfect for our stay for a week over Christmas. It was cosy, warm and welcoming and spotlessly clean throughout. If we could plan our perfect home, this would be it! The welcome pack was a nice surprise too, including a cream tea ready to go on arrival, jam first naturally! If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Cornwall, with easy access to both North and South coasts, this is hard to beat. We're already planning our return here for later in the year.

Tastefully decorated and charming property

The Dairy is a really charming property, it is beautifully maintained, tastefully decorated with a lovely bright sitting/dining room. Two wonderful bathrooms and two double bedrooms. We immediately felt at home because it was so clean and homely. There was a lovely welcome pack and the accommodation was extremely well equipped. The owners are very helpful and make us all feel very welcome, including our dog who settled in quickly. The situation of the property only about 10 minutes from Falmouth made it particularly convenient. We also were able to explore further afield to St Ives and to Mousehole,as well as other lovely places and beaches. To be honest the accommodation is so lovely we were reluctant to leave it at all. We enjoyed sitting around the log burner in the evening just relaxing. Thank you Jane and Gwyn for a really lovely break.

No pictures of front of property

Property was very nice,although we has a smell of damp in the cupboards. The outside photo's did not show the sleeper steps to get to each level of garden, the first was about 8 sleepers on edge then a 3 steps and again another 3 steps. Big field to walk dog was not low grass,when l threw the ball for our lab it dissapeared into the grass never to be seen again,l suggest getting the local sheep or goats to eat it back. The front had parking for one car there.

Highly recommended!

We have rented about 15 self catering properties over the years and this is the most well equipped one yet! Loved the welcome package with scones, Cornish cream, milk, eggs and much more. Spotlessly clean! The lounge was spacious with comfortable seating and a great wood burner, TV with all the channels and a selection of books and travel information/maps. It was bright and cheerful with French doors and skylights. Spacious kitchen with new appliances and a good selection of dishes and cookware. Lovely garden with outdoor seating. There are two full bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one on each side of the cottage, so great for family or two couples. Jane was a pleasure to work with, responding to questions right away during the booking process. Our deposit was returned before we made it back home! Highly recommended!

Einfach toll. Ruhig gelegen, super Ausgangspunkt um Südcornwall zu erkunden. Das "Dairy" ist echt groß und wie wir finden, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Gute Betten und Dusche, toller Garten und Ausblick von der Terrasse.

Dairy Cottage

Such a great and peaceful place to stay in Cornwall! The cottage had everything we needed. My family and dogs enjoyed it; we felt right at home. Most of all, the host was so lovely and kind, the welcome pack was so beautiful. We would love to stay at Dairy cottage again and will recommend it to family and friends.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, mit viel Liebe zum Detail

Eine Unterkunft in der wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir wurden begrüßt mit selbstgemachten Scones. Der Kühlschrank war mit dem Notwenigsten befüllt, Brot und Wein gab's ebenfalls. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet. Auch grundlegende Dinge wie Salz, Öl, Küchenrollen, Alufolie, Frischhaltefolie usw. sind vorhanden. Die sehr netten Vermieter wohnen auch auf dem Grundstück. Das stört aber überhaupt nicht. Sie haben sehr viel Liebe zum Detail bei der Einrichtung und bei vielen kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn es uns noch einmal nach Cornwall verschlägt!

Lovely getaway in Cornwall

Wonderful well kitted out with everything we needed and more felt like a home from home. Spent our days out exploring and after eating out in the evenings was perfect to relax with a beer or wine in the evening

Jane And Gwyn would love to welcome you to the Dairy. We have been living in Cornwall since 2002 and absolutely love the life we have. We have two children Bethany and Benjamin 19 and 17 respectively. We moved to Stithians in 2007 and converted the barn initially as ancillary accommodation for relatives and now have recently updated it for holiday letting. We are happy to help in anyway we can to make your holiday as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Dairy sits in a nice little hamlet of five or six renovated barns but still close to the village . Stithians is a great location as it is equidistant from the bustling harbour town of Falmouth with its quaint cobbled streets and plethora of bars and restaurants and the city of Truro with its cathedral, shops, and further choice of restaurants. Also being in the middle of the county its great for the choice of north or south coasts , just get up, look at the sky and choose the best coast for the weather
