Golden Oak Log Cabin is a breathtaking custom estate sitting atop prestigious Castle Glen Estates offering incredible views and space within a massive top-of-the-line four story mountain chalet home. Enjoy dual primary suites, spacious open floor plans including vaulted knotty pine ceilings, luxury hardwood floors, a private movie theater room, and fine amenities from head to toe with your vacation stay in mind ensuring your group can make lifelong memories together here.

Entering your custom chalet you are immediately greeted with luxury hardwood floors, knotty pine cathedral ceilings, and massive floor to ceiling windows where you can take in this amazing location and the incredible views offered. Custom pine accents and modern furnishings are present throughout your estate along with formal dining areas to ensure your holiday meals and dinner parties are a breeze here. Living and family room areas are abundant and offer great spaces to snuggle up on comfy couches and warm your toes in front of the toasty fireplaces or catch your favorite show on the mounted flat screen Streaming TVs with complimentary hi speed WIFI internet provided throughout the property for your enjoyment. (Guests must have their own accounts to enjoy Streaming Services.) The chef of your group will absolutely love the gourmet kitchen and dining facilities offered here at Golden Oak Log Cabin- fine amenities for your use include a sub zero fridge and Wolf range that includes double ovens, six burners, and a built in griddle, microwave, and Miele gourmet coffee maker for your large group meals or holiday feasts together. Granite counters pair with oak cabinets that are stocked full with cookware and utensils for your use while the beautiful breakfast island doubles for sitting arrangements during meals.

Stroll up to the loft where you will find a bedroom suite with a Juliette balcony and attached game room area where you can keep the group entertained. For added fun you have a private home theater offering a massive 120 inch screen and projector along with ten theater recliners and a media closet for your enjoyment. Adult beverage refrigerators are available throughout the cabin along with a beautiful wine room for entertaining which offers a unique tree slab table and stools and a Keg-O-Rater for the guys. Outside you have sole access to two spacious sun decks that completely wrap the entire estate with unobstructed stunning views of the lake and ski resorts right from your deck. The upper level deck offers a pergola, outdoor patio furnishings, propane fire pit, and a luxury stainless steel natural gas BBQ with rotisserie for you to grill up your freshly caught dinner from the lake.

House was beautiful, amenities were sub-par
House was in a great neighborhood and was nice. The amenities not so great. When we arrived, the driveway, walkway and balconies were covered in knee high snow and not cleared- even though they knew when we were arriving (even paid more to get there early). House was freezing cold and all curtains were closed. All furnishings were old and beat up- pillows flat as pancakes. House slept 16, but living room couch and chairs only sat 5 people. Kitchen utensils and cookware were almost unusable and very disorganized. There was no toaster. There was only enough paper towels and trash bags for 1 days use, we were there for 4 days. So much potential- missed the ball here.

Overall the property is awesome. There may not be a better view in the city. The house more than met our needs. The only downside I can think of is the driveway was blocked with snow and ice when we arrived, and the theater room was full of trash and soda cans. We also had to purchase a cheap coffee maker, since the built-in coffee maker in the kitchen rarely worked. But beyond these minor issues, everyone in my group were totally satisfied with the property.

Our team offers 24/7 support along with local on site offices and experience packages.

Big Bear GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY is enforced at all times during your stay and includes removing trash from the property to local trash sites, washing dishes to alleviate wild animals being attracted to neighborhoods. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS, No Over Occupancy, No Loud Music, and No Street Parking is allowed in Big Bear homes at any time. This policy along with a rental agreement will be emailed to you immediately after booking and is REQUIRED by the City of Big Bear Lake for all rentals in Big Bear. If found in violation of these policies guests will be visited by staff and Code Enforcement officers who may or may not issue fines or evictions to the violating party members. No Smoking is allowed in any Big Bear homes.

Winter Snow & Parking- During winter months the driveways, steps, porches, decks, and other outdoor areas at your property may not be accessible due to snow or ice. Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows. California Law requires that vehicles traveling to Big Bear from November thru April have snow chains in their vehicles however we also recommend proper footwear, an emergency kit, and an extra snow shovel.

California Penal Code: (a) Any person who knowingly and fraudulently represents himself or herself, through verbal or written notice, to be the owner or trainer of any canine licensed as, to be qualified as, or identified as, a guide, signal, or service dog, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six month, by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment.
Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA.

Though individually owned and decorated all homes will be equipped with clean linens, blankets, pillows, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy of your property. Each home has a full kitchen with basic pots, pans, dishes, and a small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Your home will not be supplied with paper towels, coffee filters or coffee, specialty kitchen items or appliances, condiments or oils, bathrooms soaps or lotions and hair dryers.

There is no Pay-Per-View access or Ordering of Viewing options in any of our Big Bear homes.

No refunds or credits will be made for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, TV or other equipment factors beyond our control.

Big Bear is a mountain community located in a deep forest which is also home to many forest critters. Common animals or insects that you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects every home prior to your arrival but cannot guarantee that the home will be free of these forest animals or pests.

Big Bear Vacations reserves the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
