This home is located minutes from the heart of Corolla and steps to the beach access. The owners have thought of everything to make sure your time spent on the Outer Banks is unforgettable. When you’re ready for a break from the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower, then spend some time in the hot tub or take a dip in the pool. There's plenty of deck space to lounge around and take in the ocean views.

Whalehead Beach is a popular oceanside subdivision with large half acre lots giving the feeling of spaciousness that vacationers love. Whalehead is close to bike trails, shopping, kids’ activities, groceries, world class restaurants and area attractions including the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Center for Wildlife Education, Corolla Village and the Corolla Wild Horses.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House nice and well furnished. Cleaning skimpy even after mid-stay two week clean. Corolla office not manned but other offices returned requests.Very shocked at $750 mid stay fee to change sheets! Paid a lot for this house for two weeks along with admin fees. Pool heat not turned on and vendor first got request second day of stay.

Electrifying! Painful! Became friends with maintenance.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 10th yr. coming to OBX renting a home on Lighthouse Dr. This was by far the most expensive & worse house we ever had. The location, large dining table & comfortable bed was the only good thing about this “newly” renovated home. Started the moment we walked in with the elevator NOT working. I specifically asked about this before our stay because of another review that said it was not working & was informed that it was. Good thing we had some strong guys with us to carry everything up 3 flights of stairs. We finally were able to use it on day 3. The pool area is a joke, I don’t think the home was ready for renters because the construction around the deck of the pool is not done or it was poor design. When you come out the door to the pool, there are 3 large stones to use as a walking path. Don’t step off them with bare feet because the sharp stone will cut your feet. This stone is also your walkway to exit the pool area to the side yard. They end up coming out onto the pool deck area, around the hot tub too. There is a small “natural” electrical current that runs through to the pool water. We were told that it is “natural”. Pool guy measured the volts at 1% -the minute you would put a hand or toe into the water you would get shocked. The resolution was rubber mats at the pool ladders. No sitting by the edge of the pool just soaking your feet to cool off here. Seems to us that there is a bonding or electrical problem somewhere! Electrical problems didn’t end there. The breaker for the lower level kept tripping when the kids would play their video games in the theater room. The fridge would go out on this level as well as the bedrooms - again maintenance was called. The cherry on top was the AC unit breaking on the upper level. The hottest area in the home had no AC for 2 days! Good thing one of our guests came with a fan, it was needed for the upstairs bedroom to sleep at night. The unit was burned out

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall experience was good We had plenty of room for all of our guests. The kitchen was very well supplied the ice machine was a huge hit!! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool.. very nice.. We did have a few concerns.. 1. The overall cleanliness of the house was very disappointing .. One bed downstairs had candy wrappers and other trash in it. Sand was all in the bed... Response time to bring more sheets was a couple of days!!! 2. The caninet tops were not clean..along with the floors! We especially thought this shouldn’t have been the case.. we paid a clean fee and I’m sure the renters before us did the same!! 3. We had problems with the breakers ...kept popping.. shutting down some things.. A service guy came out but couldn’t fix it so the next day an electrician came out and was able to fix it4. We had a let some service people in to change out some furniture.. we wondered why that couldn’t have happen when the cleaners were in the house??5. There was definitely not enough towels and washcloths. We had to request more..

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a great experience at Nauti Gulls. The house was big enough to accommodate the 30 people in our family. A few things could have made it better, but they were pretty minor - such as having large bowls to serve and prepare food for 30 people, and if the garbage bins had been emptied from the prior guests (left us very little room for our garbage).
