FULL DESCRIPTION (Please read entirely)
One of the most modern and unique homes in the Jay Peak area, available now for the first time on the short term rental market. The stunning modern-contemporary farmhouse underwent a full tear-down rebuild in 2021. It sits on one of the most scenic lots in the region, one of the only lots with full 360 mountain views including unobstructed views of the Jay Peak summit tower, Big Jay & Little Jay summits, plus a 100-mile view over the valley to our SW for epic sunsets. The nearest restaurant & bar ‘Omekasa’ is within walking distance, just about 600 feet down the same road, and 'The Belfry' is a 2-min drive down that same road.
Classic farmhouse charm resonates through the new-construction home which is equipped with modern systems including a standby backup generator for the frequent power outages (in Winter). All furnishings, beddings, mattresses, appliances, flooring, paint, and amenities are brand new for Winter 2023/24.

Every window has a mountain view - all of the front windows look at the summit of Jay Peak, Big Jay, & Little Jay. The SW side of the house overlooks the field, valley, and distant ridges to the SW for the most epic sunset views in this area. The windows over the back yard look at the Gilpin/Buchannan ridge where the Long Trail runs.
The large, carpeted master bedroom w/ king size bed enjoys the full width and length of the upstairs (closed/private loft), complete with a Vermont Castings iron stove (gas) for ambiance and backup heat, an enormous walk-in/walk-through his/hers closet which leads to a another larger ‘bonus’ room that is perfect for sleeping a few kids or a snoring partner. There are two twin beds in this bonus room as well as a pack & play crib. There is an ensuite master bathroom with tub & shower, toilet, vanity & sink, and ample shelving. There are a total of 5 upstairs windows which look directly out to the Jay Peak summit, so you can 'download' your own conditions report before you even roll out of bed. The platform outside the bedroom door (at the top of the stairs) overlooks the living room.
Downstairs, the open floor plan allows seamless transition and socializing between the living room, kitchen, dining room, mudroom, and sun room.
The living room boasts 30ft cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, 12ft tall windows which serve as natural ‘paintings’ featuring the surrounding landscape, a gas fireplace for ambiance & heat, an XL flatscreen smart TV (w/ streaming services), and a bar/hutch for entertaining. A sliding glass door leads into the 3-season Pine & Cedar sun room for watching incredible sunset views from the swinging hammock chair. This room also serves as a great 'pet-proof' area, or as a secondary mudroom for gear if needed.
The modern kitchen features a gas stove & oven, a large wrap-around island/bar which seats 5 in barstools, ample counter top and pantry space, and a suite of high quality appliances, cookware, service ware, and flatware that will satisfy any chefs in your group. There is a large pass-through window into the dining room so the people in the kitchen are connected to those in the dining room.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the downstairs guest wing. At the end of this hallway you'll find a large bedroom w/ King bed and his/hers closets. The abutting room is a smaller but adequate bedroom with single-over-double bunk bed (full double bed on bottom). These two rooms share a bathroom situated off of that same hallway. This guest wing has its own dedicated zone for for heating thermostat and controls.
Down the finished stairway you'll find a semi-finished basement which hosts a an impressive home-gym complete with rowing machine, treadmill, stationary bike, stair master, sit-up bench, Bowflex machine, weight bench, inversion table, pull-up bar, various free weights, and misc other exercise equipment (weighted balls, elastic bands, TRX straps, etc). This gym area opens into the second basement area which houses the laundry machines as well as third ‘utility bathroom’ that has a toilet, sink, and stall shower (open to the laundry machines, but behind a door that separates from the gym area). The entire basement is equipped with heat and humidity control.

The owners of this house live locally and self-manage the property. We are long-time professional so we take hospitality, cleanliness, and guest experience seriously. Notably, we are personally responsive to any issues you may have within 15-20 minutes.
The Owners may occasionally access the barn/garage outbuilding on the property (separated from the house) during your stay in order to tend to the snow plowing, shoveling, driveway sanding, and trash & recycling removal.
We are just one mile from the popular wedding venue ‘Crofter’s Green’, owned & operated by our close friend with who we work with frequently. We are happy to offer a discounted rate to Crofters Green clients, and the house is perfectly situated to host bride/groom parties, parents or family or the bride/groom, a honeymoon week/weekend, or even a small before/after party. If a photo shoot is on your agenda, there are 6 acres of the most picturesque sunset views you’ll find in this area, not to mention a magical river setting just behind the house.
*This property is equipped with two outdoor cameras which are mounted to the exterior roofline of the house, overlooking the driveway, parking area, and barn/garage. These cameras automatically detect motion and record video and audio on the exterior. They do not look into or near any interior spaces.
