Inside, you will feel right at home in the open living area featuring a generous lodge style great room with vaulted wood ceilings & exposed wood trusses, a wood burning stove, 70” flat screen TV, oversized couch, love seat and lazy chair with unspoiled views from inside. Step out onto the 60 x 5ft wrap around front deck; a perfect place for wildlife viewing by day and star gazing at night with patio chairs, hammock and a gas fire pit.

The eat-in kitchen features attractive dinette table, a cozy breakfast counter, new appliances, and opens into the dining area with convenient access to the 20 x 8 back deck, adjacent to the 7 person hot tub.

The generous master suite features a king-sized bed, large desk, private bath with shower/tub combo and a walk-in closet with convenient washer and dryer. The master suite is strategically located on the opposite end of the cabin from two guest bedrooms and a guest bath. The second bedroom has a full sized cedar bed with twin trundle, oversized log rocking chair, a large closet and beautiful views. The 3rd bedroom features a full sized cedar bed with boat book shelf and deep closet. The guest bath has a stand up shower. The newly renovated basement has many unique and personal touches including a wet bar with butvher block, farm house sink, microwave and stovetop open to a large gami g area with pool/ping pong/gaming/large family dining table and arcade. There is a 4th bedroom with queen bed and walk in closet, attached to the 3rd bathroom with rain shower and washer/dryer. The den can be used for additional sleeping options with a full sized bed and futon couch.

Florissant Home Base

We rented this home to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday with our immediate family members. We enjoyed the privacy this home offers; it's at 9100 feet elevation so the night skies are incredible, especially sitting in the hot tub with no street lights to pollute the skies. If you are a poet, musician, or a writer this home is remote enough to inspire you. However, if you want to use this as a homebase to explore the area, bear in mind it is 30 minutes on an unpaved road to the home so it takes a commitment to get in your car and explore. Overall, we had a good experience.

Has lots of potential

The first thing I must say is because there is no cellular service this place really needed to leave a book with maps and at the very least the password for wifi. We got really lucky it was left unlocked and they answered the ring doorbell to give passwords or we would have had to spend a half hour to town for service because the app doesn’t download messages. Other than this the place is in a very private area. The inside is spacious and very nice. The kitchen and living room are beautiful and spacious, and fully stocked with dishes and the tv has all Streaming services. The rooms are cute and spacious. They are still renovating so there were some annoyances like the doors to the deck have issues opening and lock’s don’t align and can’t lock, the decklight was taped so we couldn’t turn it on at night, the bathroom had paint everywhere. The ad is slightly misleading as it makes it seem you can see the lake from the cabin but you can just see the hills and meadows, the view isn’t spectacular. The owners are extremely responsive. When they finish the renovations, it will be a really great family retreat. I just don’t feel we got our money’s worth at this time.

I have hosted vacation rentals for 7 years and always try to find new ways to improve the guest experience. As an avid traveler myself, I have a solid idea of what I hope to experience on an adventure.

A secluded escape to reconnect with friends, family, a significant other or even yourself. Enhance all your senses in this gorgeous cabin with a rustic warm vibe and outstanding views. After a day of exploring the National Park, the Wolf Retreat, Rock Quarry, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Lake George, or even a long trek to Mount Princeton Hot Springs or one of the popular ski resorts like Breckinridge or Copper Mountain, rejuvenate in the 6 hot tub or relax next to the wood burning stove. Gaze at the stars or sit next to the outdoor gas firepit. Use the full kitchen to make an incredible meal or smoke a brisket just outside your door. As secluded as this cabin is, it has everything the adventurer in you has to desire.
