This cabin is in the perfect location for a Gatlinburg vacation. There is a grocery store very nearby and downtown Gatlinburg is close too. The views of the mountains and rooftops of other cabins are amazing. It's a little cabin village.
The cabin was clean but not staged very nicely, all decorative dried flowers were stored above the kitchen cabinets and there was nothing on any of the table centers. Lamps were pushed aside as if someone cleaned and didn't put them back at the center of the night stand, etc. But, that's OK. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful, lots of wood and huge balconies just like the advertisement.
Unfortunately, the game room was almost all broken. The pool table is the only thing that worked. The pinball machine, foosball table, and two other game machines were all broken, a huge disappointment to my 11 year old son. The owner sent me a message about this claiming that someone would stop by to fix a machine (didn't mention so many were broken), but that service never happened. Instead we got a very small credit of $125. The upstairs couch cushions need sewing repairs as does the rug and the jacuzzi cover. Knobs on some of the dressers were broken, and the kitchen was very poorly stocked. There weren't enough forks and knives for the 8 people that the cabin is supposed to house, there wasn't a spatula to cook with or a minimum assortment of pots and pans, or dishes. There were enough glasses and the appliances in the kitchen and bathroom did all work.
This could be an outstanding rental with a little TLC. Perhaps the holiday season is just too busy to keep up with these details, but it would make a big difference if there was a more thourough turnover between clients.
We did want to check in a little early (about an hour) so that might have affected the staging, but everything else would likely still have stayed damaged, broken, or missing.
